Good morning everyone!

Today is officially the first day of Pride Month 2023. As we begin our month’s long celebration, both personally and professionally, I hope everyone remembers, and is thankful, for how far we have come but doesn’t forget how quickly our rights and freedoms can be stripped from us. We still have lots of battles to fight and win – battles that will most likely not end easily or anytime soon. We must not become complacent in a place of comfort, familiarity, and obedience. We are humans and deserve the same rights, respect, and protections as our peers regardless of how we may personally identify, love, and/or express ourselves. In the meantime, please ensure, however you choose to celebrate Pride this year, you do so safely and surrounded by those who mean the most to you and show you the most respect.

Cheers to raising our Pride flag!

“My mother only earned a dollar every ten years throughout her career. It’s very unfortunate situation,” Hall said. “That’s why I fight for increased wages and policy changes. I fight for those who worry, those who lack, those who struggle so they will have some sense of hope.”

Family and Friends 🌈 As we bring June and Pride 2020, the Atlanta Region LGBTAC offers our final installment in the “Coming Out” series – movie edition!

Since the advent of film, LGBTQ actors, artists, and characters have been lighting up silver screens and serving up serious inspiration for movie goers.
The attached list of movies (and even a few tv shows) once again showcases the diverse character of our membership. While we may not be able to run out to the local movie theater and video rental stores are a mostly nostalgic memory, most of these films can be enjoyed via online streaming services. So grab your nearest quarantine buddy, a snack of choice, and get ready for movie night!
