For years, East Atlanta Kids Club has worked to create spaces where young people in southeast Atlanta are safe, known, supported, and given real opportunities to grow.
That vision has always been bigger than simply offering a program. It has been about building places of belonging - places where kids and teens can learn, create, build relationships, and imagine a future for themselves in the community they call home.
Today, we’re excited to share a new step in that work.
We’ve launched a crowdfunding campaign to support a community-centered skateshop and creative teen space connected to our Teen Club programming.
This is not a departure from our mission. It is an extension of it.
As East Atlanta Kids Club has grown, so has our understanding of what young people need - especially older youth. They need more than supervision and structure. They need places that feel real to them. Places where culture, creativity, identity, skill-building, and community come together. Places where they can belong.
We believe this project can help create that kind of space - one rooted in skate culture, making, design, and connection, while also opening the door to mentorship, creative expression, and future opportunity.
Our afterschool and summer programs remain at the heart of our work, and this vision builds on that foundation. We are proud to keep growing in ways that reflect both our mission and the young people we serve.
If you’d like to support the campaign, share it, or help connect us to funders, industry partners, volunteers, or other champions, we’d be grateful.
