It was my birthday last week and as asked, my wonderful mother-in-law and father-in-law donated to our land expansion fund and sent over these goodies from our Amazon wishlist for our rescue rabbits!

The bun pairs loved them! Below is Dill and Parsley scoping it out!

Welcome to our official Silver Acres page. We will utilize this as a platform for updates on our rescues and rescue efforts as well as where we are as we reach our goals. Again, we are a non-profit organization that is funded primarily by our vintage and collectables booth at Ally's Attic in Lawrenceville, GA. Each sale's profit goes directly to the housing, feeding and medical care of our rescues. We rescue dogs, cats and rabbits but are now at rescue capacity. Our hopefully not-so longterm goal is to buy approximately 10 acres just outside of the south-east of the Atlanta Metro Area to expand our efforts in decreasing euthanasia rates and increase care of the animals left behind in and around Atlanta. As we expand, we will open our sanctuary to rescue farm animals as well. We are working diligently on a volunteer outline program in addition to a 32 page non-profit business plan to prove worthy of much needed grants. How are we different than other rescues? While I would like to say we all want the same things, that's not always true. Donations go DIRECTLY to the expenses of animals which means you make a direct impact. We have a veterinary technician of 15 years on site, and our rescues remain our number one priority, always. We will only make a BIGGER impact as we can afford to grow and reach more and more animals in need. Currently, we have our sights on Clayton County Animal Control as they are a very high kill shelter. 3 of our rescues were results of owner relinquishments at the veterinarian hospital, where they needed medical attention and we remain a haven for those animals as well. Help us help them, and help us become a part of the actual solution.
