Meet Avery Evans, the recipient of this year’s Atlanta Women's Affordable Housing Network -WAHN and SK Collaborative conference scholarship. Avery is a first year Urban Studies MIS student and graduate research assistant at Georgia State University. Her research and professional interests include making connections between and , as well as creative placemaking and urban agriculture.

This Thanksgiving, Atlanta WAHN is thankful for YOU - all of you who came to our luncheons, happy hours, and celebrations, stopped by our conference booth tables, and clicked on our posts. Together we worked to help make affordable housing more attainable to those in our communities and lifted up all the women doing this work across Georgia. We couldn't do it without you!

This past week, the Atlanta chapter of the Women's Affordable Housing Network-WAHN presented us with a check for $6,818 to help keep our seniors safe, warm, and dry! We were so honored to be the philanthropic partner of their 15th anniversary celebration. This dynamic group is committed to promoting and preserving affordable housing in our city and beyond.

As part of the fifteen-year celebration of the Atlanta WAHN - Women's Affordable Housing Network we give gratitude to our sponsors who make it possible!

Fifty percent of all ticket proceeds from the Atlanta WAHN - Women's Affordable Housing Network Fifteen Year Anniversary Event will be donated to Neighbor in Need, a nonprofit organization that makes emergency home repairs for low-income seniors living in the East Lake, Kirkwood, and Edgewood communities of Atlanta. Donations from ticket sales for the WAHN Fifteen Year Anniversary Event on November 9th have reached over $6,000 so far!

Neighbor in Need is entirely volunteer run, so all money raised goes directly to assist longtime community residents to age safely and comfortably in place. For more information visit www.neighborinneed.org
