🌟 **HISTORY MADE IN SELMA!** 🌟

Today, we celebrate **Ettice Brickus**, who has made history as the **First Black woman to serve as Police Chief** in Selma.

This milestone is bigger than a title. It represents **leadership, perseverance, representation, and another door opening for the women and young girls who will come behind her.**

Selma holds a sacred place in the history of the Civil Rights Movement, and moments like this remind us that history is not only something we remember. **History is still being made.**

At **sclc/W.O.M.E.N., Inc.**, we proudly recognize women who step forward to lead, serve their communities, and break barriers that once seemed impossible to cross.

What a beautiful day of community, service, and giving! The sclc/W.O.M.E.N., Inc. Back to School Supply Giveaway was a wonderful success, bringing families, volunteers, and community supporters together to help students begin the new school year prepared, encouraged, and ready to shine. ✏️📓🎓

Every backpack, notebook, pencil, smile, and helping hand represented something greater than school supplies. It represented a community saying to our young people: “We see you. We believe in you. And we are invested in your future.”

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who donated, volunteered, supported, and helped make this event possible. Your generosity turned an idea into impact and reminded us what can happen when people come together with purpose.
