All site distributions begin vehicle line up at 10:30a.m.

🌍❤️ WORLD AIDS DAY ❤️🌍
World AIDS Day is both a memorial and a call to action. It is a moment when we collectively honor the countless lives lost to HIV/AIDS, our friends, our family, our partners, our trailblazers whose absence is deeply felt yet whose impact continues to reverberate through our culture, our activism, and our community spaces. Many of those we remember were visionaries who dared to create joy, build chosen families, and carve out safety in a world that often denied them compassion. Their legacy guides us.

Today, we honor gratitude, community, and the rich traditions that ground us. As we gather—chosen family, q***r family, and community alike—we celebrate the strength, brilliance, and resilience of our BIPOC LGBTQAI+ family. Your creativity, authenticity, and unapologetic existence continue to light the way for liberation and joy. ✨🏳️‍🌈🖤

We also hold space for our Atlanta Metro neighbors who are facing hardship, including our unhoused and less fortunate community members. This season reminds us of the power of compassion, advocacy, and showing up for one another—especially for those who need it most.

We’re deeply grateful for the unity, pride, expression, and love we’ve shared throughout the year. Thank you for building spaces where our identities are celebrated, our voices are amplified, and our community thrives.

Carter, a Republican who represents the 1st congressional district on the southeast Georgia coast, sent a letter to acting ICE Administrator Todd Lyons and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, asking them to “increase federal law enforcement resources” in Atlanta.

On this Transgender Day of Remembrance, Atlanta Black Pride honors the precious lives stolen from us by transphobia and violence. We speak their names. We carry their light forward. We refuse to let their stories be erased.
To our Black trans family - especially our Black trans women who face disproportionate violence - we see you, we stand with you, and we commit to fighting alongside you every single day. Your existence is revolutionary. Your joy is resistance. Your lives are sacred.

If you happen to be in line when the polls close, stay in line — you have the right to vote.

As the president intensifies his authoritarian assault on America, millions will rise together to remind him: We Have No Kings.

We’ll gather for a powerful, joyful rally featuring musicians, community and civic leaders, and labor organizations, and then march together to Liberty Plaza across from the Georgia State Capitol.

Afterwards there will be a March to Liberty Plaza from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM

REST IN POWER: MISS MAJOR GRIFFIN-GRACY 💔✊🏾🏳️‍⚧️

Atlanta Black Pride mourns the loss of our beloved mother, icon, and revolutionary—Miss Major Griffin-Gracy, who transitioned peacefully at home today. She was 78 years old.

Miss Major was a titan. From Stonewall in 1969 to her life's work in HIV prevention, prison reform, and trans justice, she never stopped fighting for Black trans women. As the first Executive Director of the Transgender, Gender Variant & Intersex Justice Project, she transformed countless lives and built movements that continue to this day.

To so many, she was "Mom"—mentoring generations of trans women of color, holding space for their pain, celebrating their joy, and reminding them of their power. Through the House of GG, she created a sanctuary for our most vulnerable siblings.

Miss Major taught us that our liberation is bound together. She showed us that resistance is love in action. She proved that one fierce Black trans woman can change the world.

Your legacy lives in every trans person who walks freely today. Rest in your power, Mom. We will continue the work. 🕊️

Today we pause to remember September 11th 🕊️

Twenty-four years ago, our nation faced an unimaginable tragedy that forever changed us. We honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, and the countless families whose worlds were shattered.

In the face of darkness, we witnessed the power of unity. Strangers helped strangers. Communities came together across all lines of difference. Love rose above fear.

As Atlanta Black Pride, we know that resilience runs deep in our community. We've weathered storms, faced adversity, and emerged stronger. Today reminds us that even in our darkest moments, we can choose compassion over hate, hope over despair, and togetherness over division.

Let's carry forward the spirit of those who showed us what it means to stand together. Let's continue building the beloved community where every person is valued, protected, and free to live authentically.

Never forget. Always remember. Forever united.
