HYPE was founded with one mission: to create opportunities for young women to discover what's possible through technology, leadership, and global experiences.
What began as a vision to bridge the gap in STEM has grown into a community where girls learn to code, build confidence, develop leadership skills, and gain experiences that expand their view of the world and their future.

A beautiful way to close out our Summer Learning Experience for our Leadership Academy! 💕✨ ⁠

Our scholars spent the day investing in themselves—gaining valuable leadership insights from Pitch Play Co. while also receiving an incredible gift from Ulta Beauty and Target. ⁠

Thanks to these generous donations, our interns now have professional beauty essentials they can use for interviews, networking events, and potential photoshoots to help them launch their careers. We're especially grateful to our board member, Keisha Bradley Mbiwan, for helping make this opportunity possible. ⁠

At HYPE, we take pride in investing in the next generation of women leaders. 💙 Our internship program is about so much more than gaining experience—it's about building confidence, developing real-world skills, discovering passions, and preparing young women for successful careers. ⁠
Over the past few months, our interns have been working incredibly hard across a variety of areas, including Software Engineering, AI & Digital Innovation, Marketing & Social Media, Community Partnerships & Strategy, Operations, and Product Development. Their dedication, creativity, and willingness to learn have been inspiring to watch. ⁠
A few weeks ago, we took a fun break from the day-to-day projects with an App Challenge! Each intern had the opportunity to dream big and share app ideas they'd love to see in the future. From solving everyday problems to creating innovative experiences, they showcased their creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in exciting ways. ⁠
Watching these talented young women bring their ideas to life reminded us that the future of innovation is bright. We can't wait to see where their journeys take them, and we're honored to be a small part of helping them grow into the leaders, creators, and changemakers they'll become. ⁠

During the conversation, our Executive Director, Kristina Newton, shared how technology education paired with global experiences can transform lives. As she reflected on our Cultural Immersion Program in Ghana, she shared that there is "really no price you can put on it" when young women not only learn to code, but then step into leadership by teaching and inspiring the next generation.⁠

This year, our scholars had the opportunity to lead coding camps for more than 50 girls in Ghana, proving that when we invest in young women with skills, confidence, and opportunity, the impact extends far beyond the classroom.⁠
