Every kid deserves a chance to play. ⚽

When CBS Sports Golazo reached out about featuring the Y, we couldn't say no!

Days later, Nico Cantor stopped by the Y during his World Cup tour to hear from our own Scott Schadl about how we're helping remove financial barriers so more kids can experience soccer, build friendships and be part of a team.

We're proud to be featured in Episode 3 of Coast to Coast, Soccer Across America!

A big thank you to Nico and CBS Sports Golazo for sharing our story.

Every kid deserves a chance to play. ⚽

So when Nico Cantor from CBS Sports Golazo reached out about featuring the Y, it was a no brainer!

Days later, Nico stopped by during his 41-day World Cup tour to hear from our own Scott Schadl about how we’re working to remove financial barriers so more kids can play soccer, build friendships and be part of a team.

We’re proud to be part of Coast to Coast, Soccer Across America and grateful to Nico Cantor and for sharing our story.

A day on the golf course, but make it purposeful. ⛳

This past Monday, we held our annual Y-CEO Golf Experience, which has raised millions to support youth programs at our East Lake Y.

This year, we also honored Tom Cousins and The Cousins Family Foundations for the vision and investment that helped transform the East Lake community.

It’s a legacy that continues every time a young person at the Y is given the opportunity to learn, lead, and build a brighter future. Thank you to everyone who continues to invest in what’s possible for our youth.

Basketball at the Y is about more than the game. 🏀

Kids build skills, confidence and friendships while learning to play as a team, with equal playing time regardless of skill level.

And here in ATL, our connection to the game goes even further. From Atlanta Dream clinics hosted at our Ys to opportunities for Y coaches to learn alongside the Atlanta Hawks, we’re connecting our basketball community to the game across our city.

Winter basketball registration is open at Y locations across Metro Atlanta.

25 years of East Lake Family YMCA.

For a quarter century, the East Lake Family YMCA has been a place for neighbors to come together, kids and families to grow, and community to thrive.

As we celebrated this milestone, we were honored to have the East Lake Y’s 25 years of impact recognized with proclamations from the City of Atlanta, DeKalb County and the State of Georgia.

Thank you to the teams who made these milestone celebrations possible and to everyone who has made the East Lake Y such an important part of the community’s story.

Here’s to 25 years and everything still ahead. 💙

Need weekend plans? We got you.

It’s the last weekend of SWAPtember, and with some beautiful weather ahead, it’s a great time to get out and explore ATL.

Through September 30, show your YMCA of Metro Atlanta membership card at 23 participating Metro Atlanta attractions and receive $10 off a membership purchase or a comparable offer.

We made a stop at Atlanta's Urban Oasis - Atlanta Botanical Garden but there’s plenty more to explore.

And it works both ways. Members of participating SWAPtember attractions can visit a YMCA of Metro Atlanta location and receive a $0 joining fee when becoming a Y member.

Only a few days left. Where are you exploring next?

Happy National Volleyball Day from the birthplace of volleyball. 🏐

In 1895, YMCA physical director William G. Morgan created a new game at the Holyoke YMCA in Massachusetts. He called it “Mintonette.”

The name didn’t stick. The game definitely did.

More than 130 years later, we’re still setting, serving and spiking at Ys around the world.

There really is no other place like this place.

Do you have a gift for uplifting, encouraging, or leading others?

We’re looking for mentors 21+ to volunteer for Reach & Rise, our free youth mentoring program for kids ages 6–17.

Mentors spend 1–2 hours each week participating in Y activities and helping young people build confidence, develop new skills, and make positive connections.

No matter your background or profession, if you’re looking for a way to use your time and experience to support the next generation, we have a place for you.

One-on-one and group mentors are needed in Kennesaw, Marietta, Buckhead, and Stone Mountain.
