BACK TO SCHOOL 2024: AD KING FOUNDATION IMPACTS OVER 1,000 STUDENTS IN OYO STATE, NIGERIA
As part of its ongoing commitment to empowering young people through education, the AD King Foundation Nigeria expanded its outreach in 2024, impacting over 1,000 students across three schools in Igbo-Ora, Oyo State, South West, Nigeria.
Through this initiative, students received essential school supplies, including bags, books, and mathematical sets, furthering the foundation’s mission to support youth development and academic success.
Each student received essential school materials such as school bags, notebooks, and mathematical sets during the outreach. The distribution aimed to provide students with the tools they need to succeed academically, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to youth empowerment and educational advancement.
Representing the President/CEO of the Foundation, Prof. Babs Onabanjo, a dedicated team of volunteers and members of the Foundation in Nigeria oversaw the distribution of the supplies. The team also delivered a goodwill message from Prof. Onabanjo.
In addition to providing materials, the volunteers conveyed the core mission of the AD King Foundation which is to equip young people with the skills and resources needed to thrive in the 21st century.
The AD King Foundation also emphasized its continued commitment to mentoring and internship programs, empowering youths to innovate, create, and market various projects. Through collaborations with industry professionals, the foundation aims to offer practical opportunities that foster entrepreneurship, good citizenship, and global awareness among young adults.
This edition was dedicated specifically to the memory of the Chairman Emeritus of the Foundation, Mrs. Naomi King, who passed away earlier this year at the age of 92 in March 2024.
