Our Health Storytelling Live Author Q&A Series for Fall 2026 with Senior Fellow in Health Narrative and Communication, Maryn McKenna, begins Wednesday, Oct. 7th at 6pm ET.

The first author to sit down with Maryn is Leidy Klotz, a behavioral scientist and engineering professor at the University of Virginia who studies how and why humans design. Leidy is the author of IN A GOOD PLACE, which reveals how the spaces where we live, work, and play shape our habits, relationships, and sense of self. Weaving together science and history, psychology and urban planning, the book shows how our surroundings can support or frustrate our core psychological needs—and how small adjustments can help us think more boldly, work more productively, and feel a genuine sense of belonging. Lediy's previous book, SUBTRACT, made the case for the power of less. He has written for The Washington Post, Fast Company, Scientific American, and Harvard Business Review, and his research has appeared in journals including Nature and Science.

All of our Health Storytelling LIVE Author Q&A's are Free and Open To The Public.

As always, we will be livestreaming to Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

Please RSVP and register; we will email you links for your viewing platform of choice.
