We’re proud to see insights from Dennis Lippy, president of Accessible Living Atlanta and co-chair of the NAIPC Atlanta Chapter, along with Mary Block of Mobility Plus Alpharetta, a valued partner through ACAP. Their expertise shows how thoughtful home modifications and mobility solutions can support safety, independence, and confidence at home.

This is a great example of the collaborative, client-centered approach NAIPC champions — bringing together professionals across disciplines to help older adults and their families make informed decisions that support long-term well-being.

As aging in place becomes more common, home modifications can improve accessibility. Focusing on key areas of the home can have a big impact.

April's presentation was by Aksh*ta Iyer, the CEO and founder of Ome, a technology company creating innovative solutions that make our homes safer.

Her inspiration for reinventing the kitchen began when her mom left the stove and started a kitchen fire. To build a solution for her own family, Aksh*ta assembled a team of engineers, appeared on Shark Tank, raised $4M in funding and launched the only connected device that can turn any stove into a smart appliance in just minutes.

Aksh*ta is driven by a belief that technology can be used to improve people's lives. Through Ome, she is helping to transform how we cook and live in our homes, one kitchen at a time.

We had a terrific presentation from Kerry Thomas with Life Span Atlanta this month. The Mansions of Sandy Springs served a delicious lunch plus is a beautiful community. Happy Holidays to All plus a Happy New Year too! We will see you all at noon on January 4th at The Mansions.
