As a part of HABESHA Foundation’s mission to promote holistic health and wellness, we have developed an advanced, plant-based culinary arts training called the KASI Chef-in-Training Apprenticeship (KCITA) Program in Ghana, W. Africa. Selected Apprentice will spend up to one year, in theory and practice, learning to prepare local and international plant-based dishes at the HABESHA Headquarters in the Eastern Region (Aburi area), and supporting the food preparations for guest who participate in programs at the Kweku Andoh Sustainability Institute in the Volta Region (Afadjato area). The KASI Chef-in-Training Apprenticeship responsibilities will include:

* Hands-on training from an experienced plant-based chef of over 25 years;
* Supporting food preparation activities taking place at the HABESHA Headquarters and KASI;
* Selected Book Readings;
* Online & In-person Professional Development; and
* Other identified tasks related to the food prep operations of the HABESHA Headquarters and KASI.

While in training, the apprentice who is selected will receive a monthly stipend of 1,000ghc, full-time lodging at HABESHA Foundation Headquarters, and paid travel expenses to KASI when programming is taking place. Upon the completion of the program, selected apprentice will be considered for full-time employment at the discretion of the HABESHA Foundation Leadership Team.
