🌽🎶 HELP SCC DEFEND OUR TITLE! 🎶🌽

We’re the reigning champs of last year’s City of Snellville Scarecrow Contest and this year, Margie and Tony Tutton have done it again! 🙌

Meet “Corn-gration Leader” with a faithful and lyrical choir of scarecrows ready to help us keep that trophy right where it belongs…in our main church office! 🏆🌽

There are 12 scarecrows competing this year, and the contest begins TOMORROW, Tuesday, October 6 at NOON and runs through Friday, October 24 at 10 PM.

🗳️ Voting is completely online!
The voting link and instructions will be shared tomorrow through email and social media. Keep an eye out and be ready to vote for Corn-gration Leader! 🎶🌽

And maybe there’s a little more to this year’s scarecrow than meets the eye. 😉

Singing, especially singing praises to God, has a way of reaching our body, mind, emotions, relationships, and spirit. When we lift our voices together, we’re reminded that worship is about more than simply singing next to one another.

We’re reminding one another:

❤️ You are not alone.
🙏 God is here.
✨ God is faithful.
💛 God is still good.
🌟 And there's a place for you to belong.

What a beautiful reminder from a group of scarecrows whose message is simple: keep singing, keep praising, and keep shining!

🍞 🍇What a Beautiful Day of Worship and Community! On World Communion Sunday, we gathered at 9:30 & 11AM, and our children gathered with Ms. Monique for a special Children’s Church lesson reminding us what it truly means to be God’s family!

In Acts 2:42-47, we see a beautiful picture of the early church. They learned together, prayed together, worshipped together, shared meals together, and cared for one another. When someone was hungry, they shared. When someone needed help, they helped. They loved God, and they loved each other.

And because others could see that love in action, more people wanted to be part of God’s family. 💛

What a beautiful reminder for all of us: church is more than a place we go to on Sundays. It’s a family where we connect, belong, grow, and help one another. Life is hard. You don't have to do it alone.

May we be the kind of church family where God’s love is not only spoken, but seen in the way we care for one another.

💙 There’s a place for you here.

🙏 Dear Jesus, thank You for giving us a church family to help us learn Your Word, pray together, and serve others. Teach us to share Your love every day. Amen!

SCC is building more than a home! We’re building hope, strength, and community! ❤️🔨

This morning, volunteers from Snellville Community Church joined other community volunteers to help build a new home with Habitat for Humanity Gwinnett/Walton in Lilburn.

Our SCC team got to put some hands-on work into the home with sheathing, bracing and beams, wrapping the house with insulation, and installing windows and exterior doors.

Every board, beam, window, and helping hand brought this home one step closer to becoming a place where a family can grow and thrive.

Habitat for Humanity works to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of that mission.

At SCC, community is our middle name. We believe being a community partner means more than showing up. It means building relationships, serving alongside our neighbors, and helping create a community where people have the opportunity to have a safe place to call home.

Today, we didn’t just help build a house. We helped build hope. 🏠❤️ Thank you Snellville Community Church for being the hands and feet of Jesus!
