⏰ Have you done your self breast exam yet this month? A mid-month check-in, sis!
Get to know your girls through monthly self breast exams to know your normal and recognize anything irregular around the same time each month while looking in a mirror.
A majority of those diagnosed have no family history of the disease, so having no family history definitely means you should
Step 1: Raise One Arm
Place one arm behind your head.
Use the fingertips of your other hand to gently feel around the breast and armpit.
Use a circular pattern, up and down, and in a wedge pattern.
Step 2: Repeat on the Other Side
Switch arms and repeat the same motions.
Step 3: Visual Inspection
Lower your arms and check for visible differences.
Raise your arms and inspect again.
Look For:
Changes in shape, swelling, or distortion
Dimpling, puckering, or skin bulging
Inverting of the ni**le or change in ni**le position
Rash, redness, soreness, or discharge
Note: If you notice any changes or abnormalities, consult your healthcare provider promptly. Ensure you get a breast exam at your routine annual appointments.
