Today we had the opportunity to Meet the Interim Superintendent of Clayton County Public Schools, Dr. Douglas Hendrix Sr. during his community tour stop at Morrow High School.

What a powerful moment for our community! It was truly inspiring to see scholars, educators, administrators, families, and community leaders come together with one purpose and that was to have meaningful conversations and work toward positive solutions for our students and schools.

Congratulations, Dr. Hendrix, and the entire Clayton County Public Schools community. Your leadership and commitment to our scholars are appreciated, and we look forward to the continued progress ahead.

May God bless and keep us all as we continue working together to uplift and support the future of our children.

We often talk about wanting to make a difference in the world. We hear about hardships in our communities and feel a moment of concern, but there are special people who refuse to let that moment pass. They see a need and instead of asking, “Why doesn’t someone do something?” they say, “I will do something.”

Today we proudly give a heartfelt shout-out to the incredible Ms. Daniel! 🌟

Today I celebrate a beautiful young lady that I’ve had the pleasure of knowing in our community for many years. This amazing young woman is none other than my beautiful SISTER-FRIEND Ms. Shavawn Peterson Simmons. She is a true community leader, gifted artist, passionate retired educator, and the CEO of Family Literacy of Georgia.

Shavawn's love for life and for uplifting others shines through the incredible work she does not only in our community, but across the world. Her light continues to inspire so many.

My Wonderful Women Worldwide (WWW)

They say it takes a village to raise a child, but in today’s world, it takes a superwoman to navigate that village—especially when language can be a barrier.

Parenting is one of the toughest jobs in the world, and there is no manual—only love, patience, and perseverance.

That’s why we are grateful for Ms. Isabel Sance. She is a true champion for our non-English speaking mothers—always guiding, informing, and empowering us.

Whether it’s understanding school resources, meeting deadlines, or finding support for our children, she makes sure no family is left behind.

Ms. Sance, you are a bridge between home and school and a guiding light for so many mothers. Thank you for helping us become stronger, more confident advocates for our children.

For Women’s Appreciation Month, my first WWW — Wonderful Woman Worldwide tribute goes to the woman God chose to bless me with to bring me into this world. My beautiful mother, Mrs. Queen Linda.
