German American Cultural Foundation

German American Cultural Foundation GAC-F supports educational and cultural organizations that engage in developing cross cultural relationships between Germany and the United States.

Our efforts support and strengthen the German-American relationship. The German American Cultural Foundation was established to solicit support from businesses and private individuals in the south-eastern United States to provide financial and volunteer support to language and cultural organisations and schools. Our aim is to bridge the gap between the United States and Germany as well as Austria

and Switzerland by adding strong cultural and educational components to traditional business relationships. Germany has much more to offer than Sauerkraut and Schnitzel, old castles and quaint cobblestone villages. It is a modern country with high-tech industries, cutting-edge technology and a vibrant art scene; people that are proud of their heritage but open and curious to experience and learn new things that will make for a rich future. We support learning the German Language, about Germany and Germans whether in private lessons or public schools, through small cultural performances or large community events, through art and music, with young and old. The German-American relationship goes a long way back and has always been very close. In order to protect and nurture this relationship it is essential that we not only remember and honor the past but find and define common ground for a meaningful continued relationship, which will be carried by our next generation. Tomorrow’s leader need to be exposed to their future business partners early on, experience each other’s background, and develop an understanding of commonalities and mutually beneficial problem solving.
