The Organized Neighbors of Summerhill is a Neighborhood Association dedicated to making Summerhill one of the best neighborhoods to live in Atlanta. As a member of Atlanta's Neighborhood Planning Unit System, we are the voice of Summerhill residents to NPU-V and the city of Atlanta on public issues concerning the Summerhill Neighborhood.

Hi neighbors - At the end of this year, we will have a handful of ONS board seats open up due to expiring terms.

Elections will be kicked off at our November community meeting. If you are interested in getting more involved with your community, please consider running for a position!

Please keep in mind that per ONS bylaws, the following are requirements to be a board member:
1) Attendance at 5 of the past 12 community meetings
2) Reside (own or rent) within the borders of Summerhill

More communications will be announced at the November community meeting.

Hi Neighbors - ATL DOT is hosting two community engagement meetings for the RD Abernathy Blvd Safe Street project.

Both meetings will cover the same material:

Meeting 1: August 25, 2026 — Dunbar Neighborhood Center (Pittsburgh/Mechanicsville)
Meeting 2: August 27, 2026 — Georgia Hill Neighborhood Center (Summerhill/Grant Park)

Atlanta Track Club will host a community meeting on Wednesday, August 12 at 6:30pm at King Middle School regarding their proposed facility. 👟

Red Bull F1 Showrun will take place in Summerhill this Saturday, August 1.

Please see the attached site map.

We understand that this event will bring a large number of visitors into Summerhill, and has raised concerns for some neighbors. All neighbors subscribed to the ONS email list have received a Google Folder with additional information about the event, including a Feedback Form for neighbors north of Georgia Ave who did not receive info from should fill out with their name and address.

Please note: Homes south of Georgia Avenue will not be affected by road closures, and residents in those homes will not need passes to access them. Only the areas in our road closure map will need resident passes.

Event Schedule:

• 4:00 p.m. --Pre-show begins
• 5:00 p.m. -- Drivers Parade
• 5:10 p.m. -- Cars on track
• 7:00 p.m. -- End of show

Summerhill is hosting NPU-V's 2026 National Night Out 2026 in Phoenix III Park!

No advanced registration required; free event open to all ages with resources & giveaways specific to kids and seniors.

Rain-out location: Martin Street Church of God, 148 Glenwood Ave SE

Reasonable Doubt Season 4 will be filming next week along Georgia Ave for an outdoor-in-front-of-restaurant scene. 🎬

The film crew plans to have street and sidewalk closures next Tuesday and Wednesday along Georgia Ave & Reed St. 🚧
