Keeping women informed, encouraged, and motivated is at the crux of our work. Not only are we the safe haven for women to share stories and pertinent information, but to find solace and the will to evolve. Digital media is what we do; from online articles to podcasts and insider exclusives to thought-provoking content, we connect the culture to the most innovative creators to industry leaders in an effort to conceptualize the richness of our being as a whole. Our knowledge is vast, and so are our talents. Our successes and strides are to be celebrated. Daily, we strive to remind our tribe of such by unrelenting means. When you're walking through a high-stakes public storm, is naming your blessings a powerful act of , or do the optics of timing and luxury make it a distraction?

One side sees a woman boldly claiming protection through a storm, while the other sees a glaring disconnect between legal reality and public display.

Within many faith communities, naming an object or a milestone after a scripture is often seen as a deeply personal declaration of faith, gratitude, and spiritual covering. For many, it acts as a daily reminder and a protective shield worn outwardly, anchoring everyday triumphs to divine protection rather than sheer luck.

​On World Mental Health Day, we’re sitting with a truth that too many Black women carry in silence: the candle, the bath, and the group chat are valid rituals, but they were never meant to carry the weight of a clinical diagnosis.

​In our latest op-ed, herbalist and writer Rachel J. Pilgrim (founder of The Land of Milk & Honey Apothecary) gets radically honest about being diagnosed with panic disorder, realizing that selling tea couldn't fix everything, and learning the difference between ancestral comfort and professional care.

you know your heart.
you know your work ethic.
you know what you bring into a room.
you know how many times you’ve figured it out when you had no idea what you were doing.

Growing up in the hood doesn't make you 😒 lazy... it gives you top-notch lessons that corporate boardrooms can never teach you.

For Tahiirah Habibi, those roots instilled a fundamental truth: true success means being able to go back to your community and bring people with you. That deep-rooted sense of community is precisely why she was able to walk away from the Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS) and elite hospitality spaces so quickly.

​Navigating those rooms as sometimes the only Black professional meant carrying an invisible tax, but her foundation taught her self-preservation and power!!! She says, “My Blackness is for everything.”

​That unshakeable mindset is what fuels her advocacy today; from building ecosystems through The Hue Society to reimagining access with her W**eish™ app. She proves that true equity isn't begging for a seat at an old table, but building an entirely new one where we define luxury on our own terms.

Among this year’s most deserving luminaries is Alamo Records COO Juliette Jones, receiving the prestigious Player Award.

Long before stepping into the C-suite, Juliette earned her legendary reputation in the ... starting from the ground up, mastering radio promotion, and ultimately anchoring multi-platinum campaigns for a generation's defining artists at Atlantic and Alamo.

As the daughter of workers, advocacy, grit, and cultural integrity are embedded in her DNA.

Over 600 people gathered at Paseo Colorado in Pasadena for the final Jazzy Jam for Empowerment concert, featuring incredible tributes to Prince and Michael Jackson. Hosted by the amazing Kym Whitley... who loved it so much she promised to return next year!
