Meet Big Boy. A kind person found him, but when no one came forward to claim him, his rescuer realized he might not do well in the county shelter and would have a hard time getting adopted.

Big Boy’s past is a mystery, and it has left him with some challenges. Even though his rescuer is on a limited income, he was willing to spend the time and effort to help Big Boy feel safe again.

Big Boy had a UTI in the past. After that, his owner asked us for help getting him neutered, but the vet said he needed more care before his appointment. Because Big Boy required extra attention and had to undergo additional tests, we used your donations to cover his veterinary bill. Thanks to a spay/neuter grant from our good friends Second Life Atlanta, his neuter is scheduled for May.

We hope that Big Boy can unpack his baggage after his neuter and enjoy life again with his new family. Thank you, donors!

Today, we received a message about a found cat named Simon. Although we don’t own a cat by that name, we traced him back to his owners using our records from when we sponsored his neuter/microchip in 2023! Fortunately, their contact information was still valid! Simon somehow slipped out the door, and he was found 25 minutes away by a kind person named Jamie. (Thank you, Jamie!)

Simon accidentally rode along with his grandma to work by car, which brought him to Jamie's neighborhood. Scared cats often sneak into cars! Fortunately, he has been reunited with his owner and had a vet check-up today. After his unexpected adventure, Simon is in good health. His microchip details are currently being updated.

We are so grateful for the positive outcome.

Microchips significantly improve the chances of lost pets being returned, so please keep your pet’s information current and consider microchipping if you haven’t already!

This story begins in December of 2025, when we lost a cherished friend and long‑time supporter, Judy Landis. Her passing came just days after she said goodbye to her precious senior cat, Jeffrey—a companion she adored with all her heart. The closeness of their departures felt like a final testament to the bond they shared.

In the wake of her loss, Judy’s friends and family chose to honor her in a way that reflected who she truly was someone who loved deeply, gave generously, and held a special place in her heart for older cats. Their gifts to our organization became more than donations—they became a living tribute to Judy’s compassion.

Knowing how devoted she was to senior cats, we’ve carried that love forward.

Their stories were each unique and complex, yet Frankie, Wheezy, Wishbone, and Baybay all found the urgent veterinary care they needed with us. For Wheezy and Baybay, that meant undergoing surgeries that gave them a fighting chance.

Beyond urgent veterinary care, we made sure the senior cats in our organization received the comfort items that make their daily lives easier—easy step‑in litter boxes, p*e pads, nourishing senior wet food, hydrating kidney‑support formulas, and prescription diets that many families simply cannot afford.

We are deeply and sincerely grateful to the honorary donors whose generosity made all this possible. We hope it would have brought joy to Judy, and we hope her supporters find comfort in knowing the impact made in her name.

Today we honor Hazeus, a very special soul. For many years, Hazeus was more than a pet. He was an emotional support dog, a steady presence, a source of comfort and a reminder that love often comes on four paws. Through every season, he showed up with quiet loyalty, unconditional love, and an incredible ability to sense when he was needed most. We were proud to support Hazeus and his loving dad, Aaron, over the years. Hazeus was 16 years old and every second of those years were dedicated to Aaron.

Run free sweet Hazeus. Your paw prints are forever on the hearts you helped heal. Please keep Aaron in your prayers during this difficult time.
