9 years ago today while in the hospital receiving chemo treatment I wrote this message and took this picture. I was just so happy my sister brought me a strap for my glasses. Simple stuff. Only God knows how much pain I was in then. Only God knows how grateful I am to talk about it today. For all my people in the struggle remember the one who stared death in the face and came out clean on the other side. I'm always here for you, too 🙂 💙

August 31st 2014:
"So if I could paint a picture of PEACE in my life, I would paint a HUGE storm. Trees blowing, lightening popping, wind blowing. Over in the far corner, you would see me, in my house, just as calm and protected, and quiet, maybe even a fireplace rolling.
