Success Warriors Digital is a Mobile App/Game Skills-training non-profit organization. The goal is arm the students with the skills to build mobile apps and games and then we will encourage the students to publish them on the Apple iTune, Google Play and Windows stores. Our team will work with each student to reach this goal that will generating revenue for the developer and the organization. Our
team recently completed a highly successful 5-week App/Game training program for youth at Morehouse College. In addition, we are engaging with Veterans and other adults in four states and the District of Columbia. We have recruited and trained five instructors, and students have shown an amazing interest by immediately purchasing the two required textbooks, and preparing for the mandatory review sessions. The goal is for the students to complete the "guided self-study" skills training and business knowledge program training within 20-24 week time period. Upon completion of the program the students will be in a position to work on Mobile App/Game projects for pay, and later to design and develop their own apps or games. Training can only do so much, students will need to continue hands-on experience training that will enable them to build and deliver applications and games for Success Warriors Digital, clients, or companies. Why is Success Warriors Digital targeting Military Veterans?
1. Total population of this category of Veterans is currently approximately 2.8 million
2. Over 58 percent of this group is age 34 or younger; and, therefore conversant with computers and Smart Phones and Tablets
3. Fifty percent (50%) have some college credits, but only 20% have a college Bachelor’s degree
4. Nearly thirty percent (840,000) have a service-connected disability
5. Over 10% on Food Stamps; 10% in poverty and 6% with no income
Among all Veterans, It is estimated that on any given night there are over 107,000 Veterans who are homeless and many more who are at risk of homelessness; some of these are Veterans returning to civilian life after service in OEF/OIF or other areas of the world. Employment outreach is part of Secretary Shinseki’s commitment to end the cycle of homelessness among Veterans. Our program is particularly suited for the “underserved” Veterans because of the following:
1. They are young, comfortable using computers, and have a good basic education
2. Our “guided” self-study, apprentice-type program can be done at their place of residence or at local public facilities. This works well for those who are homebound.
3. The homeless would be able to read and self-study the reading material, and go to public PC’s to do the exercises
4. Our expert online weekly session-review leaders will assure that all clients are understanding the material and developing the hands-on skills required to design and develop Mobile Apps
What can you do to help? Success Warriors Digital is looking to secure donations for funding initial operations as we acquire additional clients, similar to Morehouse College. There has been interest from Georgia State programs for a similar program, and there also has been interest from other states for programs to support Veterans. Thank you in advance for your support consideration. Please consider making a donation, however small or large, to Success Warriors Digital non-profit organization.
