We are the foremost network of Igbo Americans. The purpose of the Umu Igbo Unite Organization is to promote personal, cultural and professional growth amongst Nigerian Igbo Professionals (ages 21 – 45) primarily in the Diaspora.

Did You Know? 🖤

On May 30th, 1967, Ojukwu declared the Eastern region a sovereign republic named Biafra, after approximately 30,000 Igbo civilians were massacred in the north following the 1966 countercoup.

The war that followed claimed over 3.5 million Igbo lives and other ethnic groups of the Eastern region. Our businesses were destroyed, our properties seized, people fled their homes, people starved and when it was all over, we were handed just £20 to start again, no matter how much we had before.

But Ndị Igbo rose above all of it.

We rebuilt. We survived. We thrived and we will NEVER forget those who lost their lives defending our people. 🙏🏾

In honor of the fallen!!! In honor of us!!!
