The Friendship Force of Greater Atlanta

The Friendship Force of Greater Atlanta The Friendship Force provides opportunities to explore new countries and cultures from the inside by bringing people together at the personal level.

The Friendship Force of Greater Atlanta (FFGA) was chartered in 1980 and at present has 173 members. We are usually able to fill two outbound and accept two inbound exchanges each year. The maximum number of ambassadors our club can host: 20, sometimes more depending on the other activities and exchanges during the year. Atlanta, host to the 1996 Olympic Summer Games, is the central business and t

ransportation center of the southeastern United States and is the largest city in the South. Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is the busiest in the US with direct international flights worldwide. We are the home base of Delta Airlines, Coca-Cola, CNN, UPS and Home Depot. FFGA is able to offer its visitors a wide range of attractions and activities during its four distinct seasons. Atlanta is renowned for its spectacular flowering plants and trees in the spring. The summer brings hot, humid weather, but the nearby lakes and rivers offer a wide variety of summer outdoor activities. The North Georgia Mountains offer ideal weather in the fall and beautifully colored foliage. Activities vary depending on the desires of our visitors, but may include historical centers, civil war sites, museums, the zoo, and the aquarium. There are several social activities throughout each year, an annual meeting in October and a Holiday Party in December.
