Urban Youth Development Network

Urban Youth Development Network Urban Youth Development Network Our program is
broken down into three main areas:
• education
• business
• creative arts.

The focus of Tools for Life was to establish a youth motivational leadership
program for the homeless youth in the entertainment field. Each phase of the program is under the care of successful industry experts
who instruct the youth in the important aspects of each elective. Our Minors to Moguls segment is overseen by local entrepreneurs and
business people, who show the youth how to take their p

assion to the bank. The creative segments of the program gives the students hands on training in
a variety of multimedia including theatre production, graphic design, web
design and development, digital advertising and marketing, film and television
training behind and in front of the camera, animation, editing and fashion. Also,
our HelpDesk program reaches out to those students who need extra help
in the area of Math and English Language to help them through their annual
CRCT and GED exams. Our program is designed to create skills that go way beyond the expectations
of our youth, making them a positive “BRAND” in our visible global market.

Morning fb! Happy to be conducting my 2nd meeting as Community Liaison of Towne West Manor Community today. Through Urban Youth Development Network, I have created a community revitalization program in which I am creating jobs that will keep money circulating in the neighborhood in which we serve and they live. So I have come up with $5.00 cuts each Friday. Every man, young adult, and kids that live in the community can and get their hair cut for $5.00 in our community learning center from 12 to 5. Who says that there is a job shortage? Well at Urban Youth Development Network, we create jobs!

Happy to announce that Urban Youth Development Network will be establishing a partnership with Story Corps, a national non-profit oral history project made up of recorded conversations between loved ones. They have a recording team based here in Atlanta, in addition to two other recording booths, in San Francisco and New York City. They also have two mobile recording booths that travel throughout
the year all around the U.S.

I was contacted by them because a central part of Story Corps work is doing community outreach with organizations doing great work in the Atlanta area, particularly organizations that work within communities whose voices are often underrepresented in the mainstream media and national historical record. I am very excited about the opportunity for Urban Youth Development Network and hope to also help filter other local non profit organizations doing great work with in our communities in the Atlanta area into this channel.
