🚨🚧👷🏼‍♀️🛝 The City Park on Louise Street is now under phase two of trail construction, which means the playground area is completely closed.

Please avoid all construction areas until the project is fully completed and all barriers have been removed.

We *hope* to finish trail construction by the end of September.

📣📚Another exciting update to the new park trail is the planned installation of a Storybook Walk: A system of staggered pedestals featuring large pages from a book that trail users can read as they walk along the path. The stories will be updated quarterly through partnership with the Atlanta Public Library. *The Storybook Walk project is planned for fiscal year 26-27 which begins October 1st.

🎨 Our America 250 Community Mosaic Mural is now on display in its permanent location on N. East Street.

Over 250 artists from our community contributed to the mural by painting an art tile. The ages of these local participants ranged from 2 - 88 years old. 🥹

We would like to thank Laura and Robert Ruble, owners of Images Salon and Spa (remembered by many as the former Miles Rx location), for graciously allowing this special art to be mounted on their building. We think it's the perfect location for public access and enjoyment!

We would also like to specifically thank Randal Wilson, owner of Price Hardware, for supporting the mural project from start to finish by providing workshop space, supplies and technical assistance.

❌ Outside food (PLEASE plan to support our league concessions, they have worked hard to prepare for this!)
❌ Dogs... Intense fireworks can be scary. This event is not ideal for pets.

🇺🇸🦅🎨 WHERE should we hang our new mural? We're on the hunt for the ✨perfect✨ 12'x7' piece of downtown wall real estate to install our new America 250 patriotic community mural!

The Atlanta community is encouraged to participate in a collaborative art project by attending the Community Mural Tile-Painting Party June 15th. The assembled Mural Mosaic will be unveiled publicly for the first time on June 27th during the Atlanta Community Fireworks Celebration at the Sportsplex!

Below are photos of blank walls that *might* be the right size to ultimately place the mural (of course with private property owner agreement), but we really want to hear from you!
