We desire to see a flourishing Atlanta with a vibrant, interdependent community where all people groups are equally valued, as young people are empowered through our unique program that fosters empathy, civic action, and creativity. Imagine a city where young people are utilizing creative technologies to positively impact their communities and empowering their peers across the globe to do the same. re:imagine provides access for all young people to real-world experiences in creative industries that have a powerful cultural impact.

We are so happy to share that Reimagine has been selected as a 2026 Finalist for the Grant!

Last month we joined nonprofit leadership from over 200 organizations in Atlanta at Headquaters for their Meet the Finalist night where we were selected as a finalist! Through the rigorous review process, Jessie Sparrow represented the organization as we demonstrated our commitment and capacity to change lives in the Atlanta community through innovative, transformational, and sustainable projects.

Are you an emerging artists working in audio, sound mixing, or podcasting? Do you know an emerging storytelling in the music or sound space? Develop sound skills with Reimagine’s Audio Apprenticeship Track II !

EMERGE is Reimagine’s intensive paid apprenticeship program for self motivated and eager storytellers ages 16-24. Our year-long apprenticeships are offered in 2, 8-12 week tracks where we offer job training, studio tours, mentorship, job placement and or software certification!

Taught in the heart of Atlanta right off the Beltline, these programs give emerging artists in the south the tools, training, and community to enter tell their stories and launch careers in arts, entertainment, film and more!

Audio Track Part II is an advanced, hands-on program for young creatives interested in pursuing careers in the audio industry. From October 5th-December 18th, groups of like-minded, emerging creatives will build their skills through hands-on field recording and audio capture across a range of environments, including scripted productions, live events, and documentary work. The program also explores sound design, as students learn how to shape and craft sound after it has been captured to support story, atmosphere, and creative vision.

This cohort will continue the work from track I to produce and deliver a full season of Reimagine’s Embrace the Mess, as well as learn the technical skills necessary to navigate audio storytelling.

Reimagine is back! 🥳🥳 We missed you all so much 💛

Now that the fall is here, we’re looking ahead to the future. Our lean and mean team at reimagine is happy to announce that our office is re-opening for select EMERGE fall apprenticeships! We don’t just plan to re-open. This month we’re relaunching with intention, with care, and with you in mind.

You all have been asking for specific cohorts so we’re excited that our Atlanta mentors, funders, and workforce development partners are with us as we forge this path ahead.🤩

It’s been a busy year for the Reimagine team, and we’re taking a week to rest, recharge, and reset so we can come back stronger. Because of this, Open Studio will also be cancelled this month. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to use this time to slow down, catch your breath, and take care of yourself, too.

Rest is an important part of the creative process. Whether you’re making films, designing, writing, editing, or working behind the scenes, you don’t have to be creating or working at 100% all the time. Rest gives your mind and body space to recover, recharge, and come back with new ideas and energy. Taking a break isn’t falling behind; it’s part of building a sustainable creative practice.

If you need support while we’re away, we’re sharing our Wrap Around Services resource at the link in our bio, which includes additional resources and support available to you. Please take advantage of it whenever you need it.

🤳🏽We're on our phone, but we're taking care of business 😌📕 Attention Economy 101: Social Media for Young Audience was a fun way to bring educators up to speed!

🏫 This year, our team got to visit Charles R. Drew Charter School giving their instructors an opportunity to learn from our youth. In this two hour workshop, educators explored interesting and artistic ways to encourage students at Drew Charter Schools to choose their elective. Teachers were exposed to 3 levels of and explored a CTAE video content creation production studio! Using visual storytelling, student testimonials, and new digital video making tools, educators sparked interests around their elective offerings and learned more about how to keep the next generation's attention where it matters most.

🌱Students grow, develop, and evolve. Their teachers should too! That’s why we partnered with Georgia Tech STEAM Institute to host our 3-Day Professional Learning for K-12 Educators!

Our Create Tech Steam Institute at Georgia Tech Arts invited educators to explore music, visual arts, design, and theatre to support Georgia Department of Education Creative Industry Pathways. Over the past few years, we’ve collaborated with multiple friends at Georgia Tech to provide workshops, focus groups, and other hands on activations using emerging technologies to prepare students for future creative careers. This one in particular reminded us at RE:IMAGINE to .

There’s a child inside of each of us that craves exploration, creativity, and play in order to process the world around us. When we equip our educators to embrace the mess of their day to day lives, we empower them to facilitate the next generation as they do the same.

We're so happy that Dominique Ebron and Mila Cueva could bring our Embrace the Mess Social Emotional Curriculum to another campus to help connect technology, storytelling, and workforce development in meaningful ways. Tag your favorite administrator, school board chair, or teacher to bring professional learning to your team of educators this academic year!

😄 Let's play bingo to fuel the next generation of storytellers!

Our Filmmaking Intensive Cohort has officially begun fundraising for their original short film. No Comment is a two-month filmmaking fellowship where 16-24-year-old emerging filmmakers dive deep into film theory, explore storytelling techniques and confront fear & resistance together here in Atlanta .

🤝 Led by seasoned filmmaker Paras Chaudhari and Associate Producer Azaria Perry, NoCo is a completely free cohort for the community but our students still need your support. Each dollar donated purchases rental gear, crafty props and locations to power this short film production and will be matched by our grant funder. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a big impact.

🙏 To express our gratitude for any donations, the filmmakers will be publicly acknowledging every donation! That includes shoutouts on social media/promotional materials, and a credit of your organization's name in the final credits of the film.
