Hey Everyone, this is the letter a friends sister wrote on her behalf. We are trying to help Ashley Kurpiel in any way we can. I personally know her and she is an AMAZING woman and an inspiration to us all. She has had her transportation stolen, and has now lost her independence. If you know someone who can help, please let us know! Thanks

Hi Bert Show! I am writting on behalf of my handicap sister Ashley Kurpiel who has recently had a BIG tragedy in our community. She is an amazing public figure and has inspired THOUSANDS with her inspiring stories that she has had to endure throughout her life. She also has an extremely rare disease in which she is 1 in 2 Million. Not to mention, the only amputee with her diasease. Her diasease is called Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressivia ( better known as FOP ) and it restricts her from doing many everyday tasks that you and I could do. She has been on Mystery Diagnosis, Tyra, Inside Edition, and other shows to help get her rare disease out there for people to learn about. Although she has many restrictions, she never lets anything stop her. She volunteers for local amputee camps to help children and adults, has done 5K races in her wheelchair, and has even been surfing with the wounded warriors from the war. She was also recently at the BOSTON Marathon supporting a friend who was running to raise money for her disease but luckily, was out of harm's way! She is truly an amazing person who would do anything for anyone and that is why I am writting to you guys.
On Monday evening, April 29th she had realized that her golfcart ( her only form of transportation and independance ) had been stolen from her apartment complex in which she resides with my parents who take full-time care of her. This is the only thing Ashley is able to do on her own and being a 30 year-old woman, it gave her the independance in which we all take for granted everyday. The local police have been on this case since Monday but we have found no signs of her golfcart and it has left Ashley broken, confused and desperate to find her golfcart. She has thousands of facebook friends, fans, and admirers that are trying to get the word out in hopes that Ashley will find her golfcart soon. I am asking for YOUR help Bert Show to help Ashley as well.
Let's all join together in getting the word out for one of our local's that is truly in need of being lifted up in hopes to find this very important thing in her life. She helps and inspires thousands everyday, it's time to do the same for her in return. Please join me in getting the word out!!! Thank you Bert Show!!! Here are a few pictures of our sweet Ashley.
