More than numbers, our weekly reports reflect all that is possible when we come together and serve our community.

While the heat has been relentless, so have our volunteers. Through all this unpredictable weather, they have continued to greet every neighbor with compassion, kindness, and a smile.

Here is to another week of caring for households, not just handing out food.

Here at Toco Hills, we care for households. Not just by handing out food, but by supporting the whole family. 💙🐾

We're officially in the dog days of summer!

While the phrase originally comes from the alignment of stars, this month we're thinking about a different kind of dog.

Every day, we're lucky to meet four-legged friends who roll through Toco Hills with their families. They bring smiles, extra energy, and plenty of tail wags to our team. More importantly, they remind us that every household is unique and every member of the family matters.

So, here's to the pups who brighten our days and remind us that community comes in all shapes, sizes, and species. 🐶☀️

HELP US BEAT THE HEAT!

This past week's extreme heat has reminded us how important it is to look out for our neighbors.

Due to such high temperatures, we had to shut down early twice to keep our volunteers safe. We are so incredibly grateful to all of our volunteers who braved the heat and continued supporting our community as safely as they could.

We are asking for donations of sports drinks to keep our volunteers, staff, and neighbors who walk to our pantry hydrated during these hot summer days. These can be dropped off anytime between 9am - 12pm.

Let's beat the heat together!

Please note, friends, that with the incredible heat dome driving up temperatures and the heat index, we will do the best we can to serve up until our regular closing time of 3:30. However, in order to keep everyone safe, including our amazing volunteers who give so freely of their time, we may have to close early if the heat becomes too much.

We appreciate your understanding.

This or That!

With the Fourth of July just around the corner and the celebration of 250 years of our country, we want to know how are you celebrating?

Are you using fireworks or sparklers? Are you at the pool or the lake? Are you eating hamburgers or hotdogs? Let us know in the comments!

Another hot week of Summer and another wonderful week over at Toco Hills. Despite not having our usual delivery from the Food Bank, thanks to outside donations we were able to carry on as usual.

As always, a huge thanks goes out to all of our volunteers who make it happen. However, other thanks are in order to our community and supporters. Your generosity makes this organization go 'round and we are so very thankful.

Get to know: Toco2Go

During the school year, Clairmont Presbyterian Church hosts an afterschool program. One day a week we take our van over with about 20 boxes of food so families can pick up their kids and their food all in one stop.

The program went so well this past school year that the families asked for us to continue during the summer! This is where Toco2Go began.

We are so grateful to Clairmont for not only hosting this Toco2Go location and providing space, but also for the hospitality they continue to show us.

Keep a lookout for an ADDITIONAL Toco2Go location by the end of summer!!!
