Twenty five members of the Thunderbay Quilt Guild met on Tuesday, June 2 for their monthly business meeting. We welcomed a guest, Marlene from Ohio who is here visiting her sister Vicky. Winner of the Name Tag drawing was Marlene G. and winners of the 50/50 drawings were Judette and Sue. Secretary and Treasuer's reports were given and approved. Project Chair Jessica reminded us of the America's 250 Challenge. She reported that the May Apron Project Day was a success. A picture of the members who made aprons can be seen on our page. The June project will be a lesson in Foundation Paper Piecing taught by Pam. Please let her know if you need a supply list. The Montmorency County 4-H Fair will be held in July and members were reminded that we should all consider entering at least one item in the Fair. Sunshine Chair Sharyl reported she has mailed out birthday and cheer cards. Discussion was also held on the success of the Stay at Home Retreat and it was decided to have another one in September, stay tuned for additional details. A Charity Sew will be held on Tuesday, June 30 and the group project will be Keyhole blocks. Members are reminded to check out the page, Friends of Thunderbay Quilt Guild. This is a members only page and is considered the social page for the Guild. Sit and Sews will be held on June 9 & 23. Our meeting closed with a beautiful Show and Tell. Thank you to all the girls who brought food and treats for our lunch. Our meetings are held at the Atlanta Chamber of Commer building on Pettenger Road and we welcome new members.
