Hi, Pam! I got your name from Lauren Mantlo from Gone to Pieces Quilt Guild in Alpena. She said that you are the President of the quilt guild in Atlanta. I am on the Board of the Northern Michigan Fiber Festival and we have been following the guild’s page on Facebook. I have to say I am very impressed with the quality and amount of work you do! My reason for messaging you is because I want to extend a personal invitation to you and all the members to the Fiber Festival in Alpena on September 26th and 27th. You can find us on Facebook and Instagram or on the website. I hope to see you there!

Sit & Sew on Tuesday, August 25, beginning at 9 am. We have received a donation of several boxes of fabric (thank you Lynda Utt) and we will be sorting it out on Tuesday. The plan is to cut pillow case kits and quilt kits with the donated fabric and the fabric in our cupboard. Help will be welcomed, or you can work on your own project. See you there!

Thirty four members and two guests had a great time at our picnic today. A big thank you goes to Sandie and her helper Kathy for a great job in hosting our annual event. Everyone enjoyed a endless lunch buffet, fun games, interesting trivia questions, great prizes, a nice 50/50 drawing, lots of laughter and some great door prizes. Thanks again to Sandie for all of her work in planning the day and thank you to her husband John for making and donating the beautiful quilt rack and ruler holders.
