Camellia Rose Chapter of The Links, Incorporated The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946.

The membership consists of nearly 16,000 professional women of color in 292 chapters located in 41 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of the Bahamas and the United Kingdom. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.

❤️💛💚On June 19, 1865, nearly two years after President Lincoln’s Emancipation, Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas, with the news of freedom. This date, known as Juneteenth or Freedom Day, is a momentous time in American history.

In 2021, President Biden established Juneteenth as a federal holiday, honoring the resilience, courage, and contributions of Black Americans.

As we prepare for the country’s 250th anniversary, this , we celebrate African American resilience, respect our history, and look to a brighter future for all.
