Join the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End as we welcome Jay Morgan, founder of J.L. Morgan Company and a longtime leader in public affairs and coalition building. For more than 30 years, Jay has advised corporations, business organizations, and coalitions on navigating challenging issues and building strategies that bring people together.

Beyond his professional work, Jay gives back through organizations supporting survivors of domestic violence and Georgia's 4-H community.

Get to know Eric John, Rotary Club of Atlanta West End Rotarian and our club historian.

Eric serves as Executive Director of the Council of Juvenile Court Judges of Georgia, a judicial branch agency serving and representing juvenile court judges across our state.

C.J. Stewart had a fun interview with Eric and asked him:

The Rotary Club of Atlanta West End was proudly represented at Atlanta City Hall today by Corteney Stewart and Jared Evans.

C.J., co founder of LEAD Center For Youth, joined the Atlanta City Council as Councilman Byron Amos presented a proclamation recognizing August 27 as Sports Based Youth Development (SBYD) Day.

Jared, a past president of our club and Senior Legislative Research and Policy Analyst for the City of Atlanta, was there in support.

We are proud to support L.E.A.D.’s work with Atlanta Public Schools, using baseball and tennis to help youth make healthy transitions into adulthood.

Rotary Rivalry at the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End!

Current Rotarian Mark Newman is a proud University of Miami Hurricanes alum, while Paige McKay Kubik, a former member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End, is a proud Florida State University Seminoles alum. It was great having Paige back with us today as a visitor.

So naturally, I had to ask them to predict this year’s rivalry game.

Mark: Miami wins 31–10.
Paige: FSU wins 18–17.

Different schools. Different predictions. Same Rotary fellowship.

Who has the better prediction: Mark or Paige?

How can we help more students access the opportunities already available to them?
Join the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End as we welcome Adrienne Langford, a higher education professional with extensive experience in financial aid, recruitment, enrollment, and student services.

Adrienne provides guidance on state and federal financial aid programs and will help us better understand Georgia's HOPE Scholarship and how Rotary can support increased awareness and utilization among students at Booker T. Washington High School.

Improving maternal health takes both research and compassionate, community-centered care.

Join the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End as we welcome Adenike McDonald, MPH, Project Coordinator with the Center of Excellence for Maternal Health Research (CORAL), and Nanella "Doula Nan" Haynes, Program Navigator with the Morehouse School of Medicine Center for Maternal Health Equity.

Together, they are working to reduce disparities in maternal healthcare through research, education, advocacy, and direct family support. Their work helps improve access to care, empower families, and advance healthier outcomes for mothers and babies throughout our communities.

Birth is more than a moment—it's a transformative journey that deserves compassion, dignity, and support.

Join the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End as we welcome Della the Doula, an Atlanta native, birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and womb reiki practitioner. As the founder of Della The Doula, she is dedicated to reclaiming and preserving the legacy of Black birth work through holistic, culturally rooted care.

For the past five years, Della has created safe, affirming spaces that empower birthing people and families while advocating for birth equity and maternal wellness throughout our community.

Every organization has a story. On Friday July 17th, the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End had the privilege of looking back through one of our members’ treasured scrapbooks, preserving our club’s history from 1971 and 1972.

Inside were vintage Keyways, photos, newsletters, newspaper clippings, and other club documents, including memories from when our club met at the then Atlanta Fulton County Stadium.

These artifacts remind us that our impact today is built on decades of service, leadership, and commitment to the West End community. Honoring our history strengthens our purpose and inspires us to continue serving with excellence for generations to come.

Thank you to our members for preserving this incredible piece of Rotary history. We are proud to carry the legacy forward.
