The Rotary Club of Atlanta West End was honored to welcome District Governor Cynthia Edwards, Assistant District Governor Butch Carter, and District Membership Chair Audley Knight to our Friday luncheon meeting on October 2, 2026, at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center.

District Governor Edwards shared her vision for Rotary District 6900, emphasizing three priorities for the year: membership growth, giving to The Rotary Foundation's Annual Fund, and supporting PolioPlus.

Under the theme “Create Lasting Impact,”Governor Edwards challenged Rotarians to build on their achievements and advance peace through education, culture, economic opportunity, and community service.

Drawing inspiration from her father's legacy of service, she reminded us that Rotary's greatest strength is its ability to bring people together to make a lasting difference.

We thank Governor Edwards, AG Butch Carter, and District Membership Chair Audley Knight for their leadership, encouragement, and commitment to helping clubs thrive.

With 22 years of service in the Georgia House of Representatives, Bruce brings valuable experience to a nonpartisan discussion of the November 3 midterm election and constitutional issues affecting Georgia voters.

Strong schools are built through strong leadership—and strong community partnerships.

Join the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End as we welcome Principal Tiauna Crooms, a respected Atlanta Public Schools leader with deep ties to the West End community. A former principal of Booker T. Washington High School's Senior Academy and Herman J. Russell West End Academy, she has dedicated her career to student achievement, educational opportunity, and preparing young people for success beyond the classroom.

We're looking forward to hearing her perspective on education, leadership, and how community partners can help Atlanta students thrive.

Join the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End as we welcome Jay Morgan, founder of J.L. Morgan Company and a longtime leader in public affairs and coalition building. For more than 30 years, Jay has advised corporations, business organizations, and coalitions on navigating challenging issues and building strategies that bring people together.

Beyond his professional work, Jay gives back through organizations supporting survivors of domestic violence and Georgia's 4-H community.

Get to know Eric John, Rotary Club of Atlanta West End Rotarian and our club historian.

Eric serves as Executive Director of the Council of Juvenile Court Judges of Georgia, a judicial branch agency serving and representing juvenile court judges across our state.

The Rotary Club of Atlanta West End was proudly represented at Atlanta City Hall today by Corteney Stewart and Jared Evans.

C.J., co founder of LEAD Center For Youth, joined the Atlanta City Council as Councilman Byron Amos presented a proclamation recognizing August 27 as Sports Based Youth Development (SBYD) Day.

Jared, a past president of our club and Senior Legislative Research and Policy Analyst for the City of Atlanta, was there in support.

We are proud to support L.E.A.D.’s work with Atlanta Public Schools, using baseball and tennis to help youth make healthy transitions into adulthood.
