One of the best parts of Atlanta Streets Alive it's the people. Today, members of the Atlanta West End Rotary Club had the opportunity to meet neighbors from across our community, share what Rotary is all about, and learn what matters most to the people who call Atlanta home.

Our booth was stationed near the historic Herndon Home Museum and within sight of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where the FIFA World Cup excitement arrives in Atlanta tomorrow!

Throughout the afternoon, we spoke with longtime residents, newcomers, cyclists, families, and community advocates who share a common goal: building a stronger, more connected community. Events like Atlanta Streets Alive remind us that service begins with listening. Every conversation helps us better understand how we can serve, support, and strengthen the neighborhoods we love.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, ask questions, and learn more about Rotary. We are grateful to be part of a community that shows up, connects, and works together to make a difference.

Interested in learning more about the Atlanta West End Rotary Club? We'd love to welcome you to a future meeting and continue the conversation.

On Friday, June 12, 2026 the Rotary Club of Atlanta West End will hold a special site visit to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Home (OLPH). The visit includes a tour and the presentation of our annual donation to the Dominican Sisters of Hawthorne. OLPH provides free palliative care to persons with incurable cancer and is funded solely by voluntary public donations. Our club’s donation is funded primarily by our meeting icebreaker trivia game, Tasse Trivia, where wrong or humorous answers generate $1 contributions, with club funds added to round out the total.

Today was a reminder that strong communities are built when neighbors show up for one another.

The Atlanta West End Rotary Club was proud to participate in Atlanta Streets Alive: West End to Grant Park, joining thousands of residents, families, cyclists, walkers, and community partners who spent the day reconnecting with each other and celebrating the neighborhoods we call home.

Throughout the afternoon, our booth became a place for conversations, introductions, questions, and new connections. We had the opportunity to share who we are, what Rotary is about, and how service can bring people together to create positive change in our community.

One of the highlights of the day was partnering with Larry and Bernadette from Abundant Luuv Unitarian Universalist Congregation. Their presence and support reminded us that community impact grows when organizations work together. Better together is a reality when West End organizations join forces in service, connection, and neighborhood pride.

Events like Atlanta Streets Alive are about more than closing streets to traffic. They open pathways for relationships, collaboration, and a stronger sense of belonging. We left inspired by the people we met, encouraged by the conversations we had, and grateful for the opportunity to be visible and engaged in the West End community.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, shared a conversation, and spent part of your day with us. We are proud to serve the West End and look forward to building on the connections made today.
