Looking back on an incredible season of supporting Georgia families through Nurture ATL! 💜
Nearly two months ago, we gathered at the Nurture ATL Wellness Fair for an afternoon of education, connection, and community—and what a beautiful day it was!
Families enjoyed free lactation support, educational resources, local vendors, food, giveaways, and meaningful conversations with experts dedicated to improving maternal and infant health.
We were honored to hear from:
💜 Stacy Ann Louie (Gwinnett Breastfeeding) , who shared the importance and history of Black breastfeeding.
💜 Israel Route (ReachingOurBrothersEverywhere), who highlighted the vital role partners and loved ones play in breastfeeding success.
💜 Tiah Tomlin Harris (My Style Matters) , who educated families on breast anatomy, breast cancer warning signs, and how everyday products can impact both mother and baby.
But Nurture ATL was so much more than one event.
Through this initiative, we:
✨ Produced culturally relevant breastfeeding education videos for Georgia families (link in bio!).
✨ Hosted three free breastfeeding education workshops.
✨ Brought families and community resources together through the Nurture ATL Wellness Fair.
✨ Expanded access to lactation services through reimbursement opportunities.
✨ Helped distribute more of our highly requested Perinatal Care Packages (P*P Kits).
✨ Distributed infant, toddler, and booster car seats to families.
Every part of this initiative was rooted in one goal: ensuring families have access to the education, resources, and support they need to make informed feeding decisions and experience healthier outcomes.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to Project HOPE (Project HOPE ) for investing in Georgia families through Nurture ATL. Your partnership helped expand access to culturally responsive lactation education and support, creating an impact that will continue long after this initiative.
To everyone who attended, partnered with us, volunteered, spoke, or supported this work—thank you for helping us build healthier communities.
Because healthy mothers lead to healthy babies. 💜
