While Everyone Debates This, Often With Little Thoughtfulness Or Expertise——My Thoughts On "Come Sunday" Are...
Only This...: Has Anyone Ever Bothered To Break Down The Meaning Of The Following Scripture (Seriously, With Proper Multidisciplinary Study)? If Not, Then Before You Offer Criticism And/Or Judgement, THIS Is My Challenge To You...❤️
Romans 8:38-39 (KJV)
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
***What Would Happen If We Served God Out Of Love And Not Fear? What Would Happen If We Chose To See And Love Everyone As A Beloved Child Of God? How Would That Love And That Choice Contradict Our Faith, Or The Second Great Commandment? What Would Happen If We Weren't Afraid To Bring Our Brains, Questions, Doubts And Fears To Church...? How Would It Change How We Live? How Would It Change Us? IJS.

PS: I Spent 2 Years In Tulsa As Part Of My College Education And Ministry Training. I Know A LOT More About This Great Man, His Church At It's Height, And The History Of This Story Than Many... I'm Choosing Not To Make This Post More Personal Because, Although I Think It Should Have Been A Miniseries To Flesh Out This Layered Story Through More Detail And History (Like The ORU Years, The Racist History Of Tulsa, And How Almost Everyone In Ministry Who's Famous Now Came Through Higher 'D' And/Or Azusa As A Rite Of Passage, And Had They Not, You'd Likely Not Even Know Their Names...He's That Important To Modern Charismatic Church Culture As We Know It), I Think The Story, However Abbreviated, Conveys It's Intended Heartstring-Pulling Message Eloquently, And Without My Over-Explanation Or Defense. ❤️
