POV: You are a wild horse, being processed into an auction where kill buyers wait to buy horses JUST LIKE YOU to ship to slaughter across the border.

You don’t know that if the wrong person has your winning bid you’ll be trucked 17 hours to Mexico crammed in a truck with 30-something other horses after being ripped away from your baby forever.

You are so scared of the man holding the flag behind you that you mow down your very own little boy trying to escape it.

You don’t know what this world IS.

All you have known is space and wide open skies and the stars shining on your back at night as you doze off to the sound your family grazing around you…

God knows how long this has been their life 💔

When I looked closer I immediately understood why they kept capturing my attention. Over and over in this sea of horses I would end up looking to them.

Somewhere deep down… I could sense the wild in them.

Imagine being abducted from your wild & peaceful home, then made to carry babies that aren’t even yours, then birth them, then repeatedly have them taken away from you?

That sounds like literal hell to me.

They deserve so much more.

Let’s give these ladies their FREEDOM and sovereignty back within our sanctuary, shall we?! 🙏🏻

America’s Wild Horses, destined to 💀

Meet Promise and her baby boy Liberty.

They’re being sold in an auction that starts in one hour… and without us- they’d end up in the hands of the kill buyer.

No one wants a wild, skinny, beat up firecracker mare. But we do!

They labeled him an orphan.

But his mom was answering his calls from the next pen.

We walked up just as Dynamite — a tiny wild c**t — was being processed in the auction chute. He'd gone in with one of his brothers instead of his mom, and because he went in with a boy, they thought he is an orphan.

We stood there and watched him call for her. And we watched her call back.

They could hear each other. They just couldn't reach each other.

Tomorrow, Dynamite goes through the auction as an orphan. His family — mom, brothers, all 8 of them — goes separately.

Wild reservation mustangs don't attract regular buyers at the auction looking for a horse to ride.

The kill buyer will be the only one bidding.

Unless we show up.

It was heartbreaking to watch him frantically calling for for his mom….

Now he will go through the sale alone tomorrow.

His family is wild, and has a high chance of selling to the kill buyer for slaughter during the auction. No one horse shopping for their family wants a skinny, wild reservation mustang.

We have an alternate plan ‼️

We will rally our community for him.
For this family.

And we will reunite them in sanctuary! 🙏🏻

He gave the workers a hell of a time, biting and kicking at them. We’re calling this precious little wild soul DYNAMITE 🧨

Legal loopholes allow them to be captured, sold, federal protections dissolved, and then they end up HERE- destined for slaughter.

The family made it ‼️ 8 wild mustangs — captured by the government, sold to a kill buyer, headed to slaughter — are now safe.

But we’re still at the kill pen.

There are more wild horses here right now. These are the next four we are fundraising for- Three bonded friends who have never been apart and one lone stallion who has no idea people are fighting for him.

They go through the auction tomorrow, and it’s our one chance to keep them out of the hands of the kill buyers.

These are America’s wild horses. Protected by law. Sold anyway. Shipped to slaughter.
