Ways to reduce salt in your diet:
- Use more herbs to flavor your dishes instead of salt
- Plant a garden (for example, plant some zucchini- try this recipe-
https://www.rsnhope.org/renal-recipes/using-zucchini-from-your-garden/)
- Incorporate some lemon or lime with an olive oil-based dressing on your salad
- Use salt free spices on your foods
- Try to choose fruits and vegetables instead of processed foods

Check the food labels and check the ingredients in foods :
- Salt/sodium-free — Less than 5 milligrams of sodium per serving
- Very low sodium — 35 milligrams or less per serving
- Low sodium —140 milligrams or less per serving
- Reduced sodium — At least 25% less sodium per serving than the item’s usual sodium level
- Light in sodium or lightly salted — At least 50% less sodium than the regular product
-No salt added or unsalted — No salt is added during processing, but these products may not be salt/sodium-free unless stated
