For many first-generation college students, higher education comes with challenges beyond the classroom.
Jada, a graduate of Charles Drew High School and a Tomorrow’s Promise Foundation scholarship recipient, faced financial hardship and limited access to technology while preparing for college.
With support from the Foundation, including scholarship assistance and a laptop for virtual learning, Jada was able to focus on her education and successfully complete her first year at Georgia State University with honors.
Today, she is pursuing a degree in biology and working toward a future in healthcare. ✨
Stories like Jada’s remind us how access to resources and support can help students overcome barriers and pursue their dreams.
