His legacy continues to inspire us as we work to bring hope and opportunity to the youth of Atlanta. His dream lives on not just today, but in everyday we work for these students.

Long before running for Mayor, I focused on helping Atlanta youth grow and prosper. I conceived of having a smart-phone app that would truly engage and motivate high school students to get out and learn about their city. By expanding their horizon through seeing what others have accomplished with their lives – as well as exposing them to innumerable career and job opportunities - my vision was to generate hope for their own future.

Equally excited by the idea, Courtney English and Jay Bailey joined me in founding the non-profit Passport Atlanta. Prior to running for Mayor, I served as the un-paid Chairman and CEO of the organization.

During the reception I will speak to my vision for Passport Atlanta. I hope you will consider attending to learn more about the organization as well as providing support. The event will showcase the actual app as well as the experiences of those involved in using it – students, parents, and others.

The reception is Monday April 25, 6:00 at The Gathering Spot. Refreshments will be available.
