The Gold Carbon Nonprofit Our Story

We love the outdoors and believe in the transformation power of nature it holds. Thank you for your interest in our non-profit organization!

We believe that parks and trails are essential components of a healthy community, providing a place to relax, exercise, and connect with nature. These spaces are more than just physical spaces, but rather, they are integral parts of a community's fabric, providing a place for communities to gather and connect with the natural world and live healthier, more active lives. While living in Colorado, we planned our weekends around visiting the beautiful, well-designed modern parks in the surrounding area. When we moved our family to Georgia, we noticed a drastic difference in park and trail quality. Many parks and trails are outdated and lack the necessary amenities and features required to meet the needs of modern families and recreational users. Our Mission

We founded Gold Carbon with the mission to transform parks and trails into safe, accessible, and technologically-enhanced spaces for families and recreational users and to make them more welcoming and enjoyable for everyone. We are always working hard to create meaningful and engaging opportunities for our community to get involved and make a difference. Please notice any event we have posted on FB, IG or on our website www.goldcarbon.org. We are always in need of volunteers, so bring your best self and come to help out with our community events!
