Today marked an exciting milestone at the Ghana Climate Centre for Excellence (GCCE) as we held our first meeting with our interns and volunteers. 🌱

Together, we engaged in a team-building activity, potting plants and painting pots with meaningful Adinkra symbols, celebrating culture, unity, and our shared commitment to environmental sustainability.

This moment reflects the spirit of collaboration and purpose that drives GCCE as we work together to build a greener and more resilient future.

💛📚 Gratitude in Action: Building the Sankofa Climate Library Together

We are deeply grateful to Columbia University Press and the Columbia Climate School for their donation to purchase climate and disaster resilience books for the Sankofa Library at the Ghana Climate Centre of Excellence.

This meaningful contribution—facilitated by climate scholar and disaster leader Dr. Joshua DeVincenzo—will help equip emerging climate leaders across Ghana and West Africa with world-class knowledge, research, and tools to strengthen community resilience.
At the Ghana Climate Centre, we believe access to knowledge is access to power.
These books will inform training, research, youth climate leadership programs, and disaster risk reduction efforts for years to come.
