Over the course of several days, watch as this intricate design comes to life, crafted grain by grain with patience and incredible artistry. More than just a visual masterpiece, this Sand Mandala represents love, compassion, and peace.

Visit the Drepung Loseling monks this week in Fayetteville, AR at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Fayetteville, Arkansas as they spend the week constructing the mandala of compassion. All are invited to attend the opening ceremony on April 28 at 12:30 p.m. and the closing ceremony on May 2 at 2:30 p.m. These moments frame the creation and completion of the mandala, offering a deeper glimpse into its spiritual significance. Daily construction and viewing 830 AM - 430 PM.

The monks are getting ready to depart Atlanta for the west coast! End destination will be Sunset Cultural Center for an exciting presentation of "Sacred Music, Sacred Chants". Before that however, they will stop in Arkansas for events in Fayetteville at St. Paul's Episcopal Church and in Eureka Springs at the Eureka Springs Community Center. Closing Ceremony today! The Loseling monks will continue working on finishing details until 11 AM and then the mandala of compassion will be left complete for viewing.

Old Chapel and Campus Pond
The week concludes with a closing ceremony in which the sand is swept up and placed in an urn, a metaphor for the impermanence of life. As a gesture of healing, half of the sand is distributed to the audience, while the remainder is carried to a nearby body of water and released. The waters then carry the healing blessing to the ocean, allowing its healing energy to spread throughout the world.

Later today, Wednesday, April 8 at 4 PM, is a Lecture by Gonsa Rinpoche with translation by Geshe Tsewang Punchok on the topic of "Why Do We Need Each Other?"

Throughout the week, the Loseling monks have continued their work on the Avalokiteshvara mandala, a sacred symbol of boundless compassion. The live exhibition has become a vibrant community hub, hosting numerous class visits and outreach programs to share this rare cultural experience with local students.
