Lifespan Resources Our social enrichment program aims to bridge the generation gap, and help alleviate social isolation.

Since our inception in 1981 as North Atlanta Senior Services (NASS), Lifespan Resources has been providing social and cognitive enrichment to older adults. In 2023, Lifespan launched its current platform, Lifespan Intergenerational (IG), pairing college students virtually with older adults aging in place at home. Lifespan is a nonprofit organization that relies on volunteers and donations of financial support to continue its two-part mission of helping bridge the generation gap, and helping prevent social isolation in older adults.

On October 26, golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and friends will gather at The Standard Club in Johns Creek, Georgia, to honor Adam’s life and the legacy he left behind.

Adam was a connector of people, a lover of community, and someone who understood the importance of belonging. These same values are at the heart of Lifespan Intergenerational’s mission.

Last week, Lifespan IG had the opportunity to participate in the Finding Joy with Parkinson’s Conference in Wisconsin, bringing our intergenerational mission to a new community through a Smartphone Workshop.

Students from Rock River Charter School partnered with older adults throughout the day, helping them navigate their smartphones, practice everyday skills, and feel more confident using technology.

But the best part? The connection that happened along the way.

We’re incredibly grateful to the students who showed up ready to help, learn, and connect. Thanks Connie Udell with Sol Fitness and Rock Steady Boxing for planning and hosting this helpful event to so many with Parkinson's and their caregivers!

As we look toward expanding Lifespan IG into new communities and states, experiences like this remind us just how powerful bringing generations together can be. 💙

September has been full of connection, conversation and so many opportunities to learn from others in our community. 💙

This week, Lifespan Intergenerational joined AgeTech Connect Atlanta for Breakfast on the Green, connecting with leaders and innovators who are helping shape the future of aging in Georgia.

From conversations around aging and longevity to reconnecting with friends at Georgia State University’s Gerontology Institute, it was another reminder of just how much can happen when we come together, share ideas and learn from one another.

We’re grateful for the connections made this month and excited to keep building on them as we work toward stronger, more connected generations.
