Bagel Rescue is a non-profit organization supporting hunger relief in the Atlanta metro area. We connect restaurants with excess food to neighbors in need.

Through donations from local bakeries, volunteers deliver bagels to food pantries and shelters.

Every year Emory University students come together to make a HUGE impact on Atlanta. Hundreds of students take part in projects that support causes from hunger to healthcare, environment to education, and much more.

We enjoyed sharing our multi-faceted mission with eager Impact Day volunteers who packaged more than 5,000 bagels. 🥯 We love making connections with young adults whose passions will shape the future. We hope they continue to focus on giving to others as they pursue their goals.

As comes to a close we want to send a huge thank you to our incredible community of volunteers who make our mission possible. 🙏 Because of you, we’ve successfully kept more than 4.7 million bagels and baked goods out of landfills and turned them into meals for neighbors in need.

The culture at Chick-fil-A is “A Community of Care,” and that spirit was on full display last week during their Staff Summit. As Chick-fil-A corporate employees gathered for a day of training, connection, and inspiration, they also made time to give back by partnering with Bagel Rescue to make THOUSANDS of sandwiches for 15 community partners across the Atlanta area.

The energy was epic. The vibe was vivacious. The smiles were spirited. And the hearts were full of hope.

During Hunger Action Month and all year long, Chick-fil-A’s Global Impact efforts focus on addressing food insecurity through programs that strengthen and support the communities they serve. We were honored to be part of their vision and to help turn resources into nourishment for neighbors in need.

A huge THANK YOU to the incredible Bagel Rescue volunteers who facilitated this project, Fountain of Hope for procuring hundreds of loaves of rescued bread, and All My Sons Moving & Storage for helping with transportation and logistics.

When a community comes together, THOUSANDS of sandwiches become thousands of moments of care.💙

At the start of the school year, the Dunwoody High School National Honor Society reached out to Bagel Rescue looking to make a difference. We are so glad they did! Led by their president, these teens teamed up to make sandwiches from rescued bread for our partner agencies. These meals went directly to organizations serving our unhoused community.

Thank you to the DHS NHS members for spending a busy afternoon helping neighbors in need! 🙏

Big thanks to this energetic crew of Emory Hillel students for coming out on a Friday evening for pre-Shabbat community service. Together they bagged over 4,000 bagels that were distributed to hunger relief organizations over the weekend.

We are grateful for their service and delighted to see them having so much fun activating for others. 🫶
