We had the pleasure of joining the Hope thru Soap team earlier this week where we spent a few hours working at Miller's Market. Hope Thrive Support is an incredible partner who offers mobile outreach and shower services for the unhoused, a young adult program for at-risk youth, and a no-barrier food pantry. Bagel Rescue supports their hunger relief efforts by dropping bagels and baked goods at the pantry every Monday.

It was great to see their team in action and be part of the wonderful work they are doing in our community. 💙

We 💙LOVE💙 our Bagel Rescue Volunteers but we're also quite fond of the volunteers at our Partner Agencies. 🫶 Steve, our pal at Atlanta Community Food Bank, is a perfect example; he always greets us with a smile and a helping hand.

It is truly rewarding to connect with others who share our commitment to reducing waste and feeding those in need. Thank you to Steve, and to ALL volunteers, for dedicating your time to strengthening our community. 👏

Our name says 'Bagels,' but our mission goes further: we rescue bread as well! 🍞🥖 Through partnerships with Eli's, Henri’s, and Alon’s, we rescue unsold bread that would otherwise go to waste. For our distribution partners, the addition of bread provides a vital variety of nourishment, ensuring they can better serve the diverse needs of their patrons.

Thanks to this amazing crew from The Home Depot Digital Apron who came in from around the country for collaboration and community service. During their Team Impact Event they made 1,200 sandwiches using rescued bread and bagels, and packaged over 4,300 bagels into family packs. This food is destined for shelters and pantries where the need is great and recipients are grateful. 🫶

Thanks to Home Depot and to this group of employees who prioritize community. 🧡

A huge thanks to the A*O - Asian Student Organization at Emory University for reaching out to partner with Bagel Rescue. We provided them with bread to make sandwiches and they showed up with a deep desire to help their community. They made over 600 sandwiches that day for individuals living in shelters.

We appreciate their initiative and their commitment to supporting those in need. 🫶

Bagel Rescue's very own Amy and Erin and their family members recently had the unique opportunity to serve dinner for residences at Zaban Paradies Center. It is part of a year long initiative to work alongside our partner agencies as volunteers to help us better understand their critical role in our community. The Zaban Paradies Center's mission is to empower couples, families, & individuals facing homelessness to achieve self-sufficiency. Thanks to all the gracious community members we had the pleasure of serving. 💙

It was great to see our old friends from Courtyard by Marriott Bonvoy in Chamblee who stepped up when we needed some bagels packaged on the fly. They bagged over 2,300 bagels in record time, providing us much needed family packs for our Partner Agencies that weekend. Thanks to their team for showing up for their community! 🫶
