🥪 When life gives you 8 loaves of bread… YOU FEED THE HOMIES! ❤️

Today, Von and Van’s Foundation of Hope received a donation of 8 loaves of bread, and of course we had to put them to good use! 🙌🏾

We turned those 8 loaves into 60 sandwiches and packed 30 bags, each with 2 sandwiches, cookies, and water, for an impromptu outreach.

Sometimes giving back doesn’t require a huge event, weeks of planning, or a ton of money. Sometimes it starts with somebody saying, “Hey, I have some bread to donate.” 🥹 And that one donation becomes 30 people having something to eat.

That’s what community is all about. Taking what we have, adding a little love to it, and getting it into the hands of someone who needs it. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who continues to donate, support, share, and believe in what Von and Van’s Foundation of Hope is doing. No donation is too small to make an impact!

Sometimes it’s the little things that make the biggest impact. ❤️

I’m so thankful that my job donates leftover food from our work engagements so that I can take it and Feed the Homies in our community. Today, I was able to take those leftovers and visit 3 different encampments in the area.

Each box had about 4–6 slices, and while that may not seem like a lot, it meant that I was able to put a meal in front of someone who may not have known where their next meal was coming from. 🥹❤️

This is why I do what I do. It doesn’t always have to be a huge event with hundreds of plates. Sometimes it’s a few boxes, a few people, and a simple reminder that someone cares.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to turn food that could have gone to waste into a meal for someone who needs it. Every little bit counts. Every meal matters. And even small acts of kindness can make an impact. 🙏🏾

If you’d like to help us continue Feed the Homies, every donation, big or small, helps us provide food, hygiene items, warming supplies, and other essentials to people in our community.

💙 THANK YOU FOR HELPING US FEED THE HOMIES! 💙

Today was such a special day for Von and Van’s Foundation of Hope! We want to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who volunteered their time, energy, and heart to help us make Feed the Homies a success. From our amazing community volunteers to our incredible volunteers from corporations like Amazon.com, we truly could not have done this without you! 🙌🏾❤️

Because of YOU, we were able to provide 50+ hot meals to members of our community, along with toiletry products to help meet everyday needs. This was our first pop-up event where the community came to US, and seeing the support come together was absolutely amazing. This is only the beginning! 🥹💙

We’re continuing our mission to feed the community and provide AAC devices to nonverbal children, especially as we prepare for the holiday season. Every dollar makes a difference, and no donation is too small!

Sometimes, the smallest gesture can make a BIG difference. ❤️

Today was an impromptu moment, and I’m so thankful for a job that allows me to take leftover food from our team engagements and turn it into something meaningful. Whether it’s 1 plate, 5 plates, or 20 plates, every meal is an opportunity to help someone who is hungry. Something that could’ve went into the trash turned into someone else’s treasure.

Today, we were able to give 5 plates of food to people out in the streets, and I’m grateful we could put a meal in the hands of 5 people who needed it. It may seem small, but 5 full bellies still matter. 🙏🏾❤️

Today, Von and Van’s Foundation of Hope was back outside feeding the homies! ❤️💚💛

Today we were blessed to make 35 hot plates of chicken, rice, and broccoli, along with cold bottles of water and toothbrushes for our unhoused neighbors. Every plate, bottle of water, and toiletry item was a reminder that they are seen, they are valued, and they are not forgotten.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated, supported, shared, and helped make today possible. 🙏🏾 We truly couldn’t do this without you!

And we’re not stopping here! Donations are still needed and appreciated so we can continue getting meals, water, and essential items into the hands of those who need them most.
