You almost paid MORE at the pump today 🫠

Georgia's been giving folks a gas tax break for months and it was supposed to end TODAY.

But, the governor signed an executive order to extend it through June 2. An executive order lets the governor act fast when people need help.

The help is real:
⛽️ 33¢ off every gallon of gas
⛽️ 37¢ off every gallon of diesel

This is what it looks like when government actually moves for the people.

"It's mental health that is the root of the issue..."

That right there 👆🏾 is a conversation our community doesn't have enough.

And we know how the cycle goes. Untreated pain becomes someone's "incident" on the news instead of the moment someone got help.

But here in Georgia, 95% of our counties don't have enough mental health providers, so even when folks do reach out, the support often isn't there.

That's why the people around us matter so much. Folks are way more likely to open up to somebody they trust—a friend, a family member, a neighbor—before talking to a professional.

If that's YOU, be that person. Be the one who checks in twice when the "I'm good" doesn't look or sound right. Normalize therapy in the group chat. Remind your people they're not alone.

It's Mental Health Awareness Month, but caring for our community is a year-round job. We take care of us. 💚

Voting early is just... easier. Swipe to find your spot 👉🏾

Did ya'll know that in Georgia, some folks with a past conviction can vote?

Most people don't and the system doesn't make it easy. That's why community education and showing up together matters.

Join us for Justice on the Ballot, a free event to help justice-impacted Georgians learn their rights, get the facts, and show up prepared for November's election season.

35K votes in one day is a lot, but we have work to do... 👉🏾

What we know: when Black voters show up at the same rate as other groups, elections look different. In 2024, that gap meant 400,000 missing votes. The last big statewide race was decided by just 115,000.

Our votes matter. And so does who we bring with us.

If you're already planning to vote, bring somebody with you. Text your group chat the dates. Sit down with a family member & look up what's on the ballot together.

🗳️ Early voting runs now through May 15
🗳️ Election Day is May 19
🗳️ Bring a valid photo ID
🗳️ Vote at any early voting site in your county

"A lot of people in my family don't really get out and vote or know what the issues are."

That right there 👆🏾 is exactly why we do this work.

Folks aren't disengaged because they don't care, they just don't have somebody in their corner breaking it down for them. And people are way more likely to trust a cousin, a coworker, or a friend than a campaign ad or a stranger at their door.

If that's YOU, be that person. Be the one who texts the group chat the early voting dates. Explain what's actually on the ballot. Pull up to the polls with somebody who's never been before.

⭐️ Unlike Election Day, you can vote at any early voting site in your county so make a plan with folks who live near you.
