The nonprofit, N.onT.ypical Outdoorsman Incorporated has officially shut down and have ceased operations. We would like to thank everyone that supported us in our mission over the last three years to make hunting and the outdoors a more racially diverse place for all to enjoy.

Our nonprofit gave away free deer meat this morning. We had quite a few people come out get a piece of deer. 27 packs of roast, burger, and backstraps were available. It was all gone within an hour! People came from near and far. Thanks to everyone that participated and stopped by.

It was such a success that we may do it again before the end of the year. It all depends on how many deer we can get. If you have deer on your property that you'd like to have us harvest for the next giveaway, contact us (GA Only). If you'd like to join our organization and participate in the next meat giveaway, contact us. Food for the people!

Success doesn't rest. With the youth hunt completed, it is now time to move on to the adult hunt which will take place in Mississippi. It is one of the outreach events our nonprofit NonTypical Outdoorsman Inc. is doing to introduce more minorities to the sport of hunting. One of the hunters has already shown that she can shoot. She started out on the .22 and did well.

I'll post the video later, but it was hilarious hearing and seeing her reaction after shooting a muzzleloader for the first time. I forgot to tell her about the smoke and noise level compared to the .22. She's ready to hunt.!

The hunt is already full so unfortunately, there are no additional spots available.

This weekend is the moment of truth for these two brothers ages 10 and 11 from Atlanta, GA. If you've followed me over the past few months, you'll know that these kids have been putting in work, shooting, taking their hunting education class, learning how to scout and find deer sign, learning to shoot Trap, and today, shooting at a deer target (from GSM Outdoors) in hopes of getting their first deer tomorrow or Saturday.

They will be using muzzleloaders and have demonstrated that they can put the bullet where it counts. Wish them luck! Pictures will be posted if they get something!

Mentoring new hunters is never ending, and oftentimes, unpaid work. But as I always say, "You never know how an outdoor experience will impact a child's life!"

We're looking for a few good men and women to be mentors and leaders within our organization. These mentors and leaders should understand the need for and importance of getting more minorities involved in hunting and the outdoors.

We are looking for hunters and outdoorsmen with proven track records in mentoring, event organization, organization, and commitment. Although the future has arrived, and we're living in the year 2024, minorities are grossly under-represented in hunting and are lagging behind our contemporaries. We are ramping up our efforts to attack this problem head on and introduce more minorities to hunting and the outdoors.

Are you an experienced hunter, an expert in upland bird, small game, deer, elk, or waterfowl? Want to pass on your knowledge to others? We are looking for dedicated and capable people to join us!
