**Women’s History Fact:**
Women’s History Month began as a local celebration in Santa Rosa, California in 1978 and was later recognized by the United States Congress in 1987. Today, it serves as a national opportunity to highlight the achievements and leadership of women throughout history.
As a **woman-led organization dedicated to serving families and strengthening communities**, AZLR CARES is proud to continue building programs that create meaningful impact across the metro Atlanta community.

# # # 💜 Love Thy Neighbor Community Outreach
📅 **Sunday, March 8, 2026**
📍 **Clean Wave ATL Laundromat – Riverdale, GA**
Our annual **Love Thy Neighbor** outreach will provide **free laundry services to the first 30 families who register on-site**, along with breakfast and refreshments for attendees.
We are incredibly grateful to our community partners helping make this day possible:

• **Port Royal Scott Lodge #591** – Coffee & Beverage Station
• **NSPIRED IMAGES** – Generous donation of event decorations and community gift baskets

# # # 🌱 Harvest to Thrive Community Garden
AZLR CARES is continuing to build our **Harvest to Thrive Community Garden**, an initiative focused on food access, sustainability, and economic empowerment.
This project will help families:
• Grow fresh produce for their households
• Learn hands-on gardening skills
• Develop small produce stands that can generate additional income
We are currently seeking:
🌿 **Volunteers** to assist with building and maintaining garden beds
🌿 **Community partners and sponsors** to support supplies and materials
🌿 **Donations** to help expand the project and serve more families

# # # ❤️ Upcoming CPR & First Aid Certification Training
AZLR CARES will soon begin offering **CPR & First Aid certification classes in Stockbridge, GA** for individuals, families, churches, schools, and businesses.
These **hands-on trainings are designed to build confidence and prepare community members to respond during emergencies.**
Classes are expected to **open for registration in April 2026.**
Community support is helping us purchase the training equipment needed to launch these classes. Donations toward this effort are greatly appreciated.
