Rudder: Stacked and drifted fir on bronze post and gudgeons

- Launched 1931 as “Lakme”. Technically Lakme II, named after a somewhat notorious but beloved local ship.
- Oleson Saga, sword fishing merchant vessel, and Great Depression rally for refit.
- 1939 Sayers Saga. Peru and the shark liver trade (cod liver oil). Punta Arena, Costa rica and WW2
- Sold to Captain E.W. Cullen
- Late 1940’s Bush Saga. Renamed and christened “Dubloon”. Charted the Western coast of Mexico told in renewed book “Paradise to Leeward”.
- Sold, missing years and odd changes of hand only to reappear in Captain Bush’s boatyard for sale by a Mr. Smith in need of serious refit
- 1956 1st Gladson Saga. Maury and Alma
- 1957 Purchased and refit by the Gladson family revival and sail trip to the Galapagos, Cocos Island, back to Acapulco in a return trip to past places visited. Then they head back up the coast to LA late 59.
- 1963 Back home (son) Jim and family took different paths. Jim took to the land to start a family while Maury and Alma head for Plana de Coco, Costa Rica to make base.
- 1971-71 The Gladson’s and locals took Dubloon through a total overhaul framing and replanking in Costa Rica for journey home.
- 1972 Beset upon by hurricane. Made port in LA, California and sold to Jim and wife.
- 1972-73 2nd Gladson Saga. Jim, wife Patricia, and family worked on Dubloon as much as they could and enjoy sailing her around the southern California area as a family boat for the next 10 years or so.
- 1987 Refit with (son) Richard and renowned shipwright Wayne Ettel helped rebuild deck and tops
- 1992 Jim sets out to start Los Angeles Maritime Institute, Dubloon becomes a personal craft and springboard for the effort.
- 2019 Williams Saga. Sold and brought to Flowery Branch, GA for total refit and to start a nonprofit organization
- January 2020, Launched for the first time in fresh water in Lake Lanier. Begins hosting The Crossbones Company.
