New to Cub Scouting or taking on a new leadership role? In-person Cub Scout Leader Position-Specific Training is a great way to learn the ins and outs of your position while connecting with other leaders.

These hands-on sessions provide the basic tools you need to deliver a quality Cub Scout program — whether you're a Cubmaster, Den Leader, Assistant Leader, Committee Member, or another member of your Pack leadership team.

Why attend in person? Because you can ask questions, share ideas, learn from experienced leaders, and meet other Cub Scout volunteers from across the Atlanta Area Council. And, honestly, it's a lot more fun than clicking through an online course!

Not able to make an in-person session? Online Cub Leader Position-Specific Training is also available year-round through My.Scouting.

Don't wait until you're already leading your first den meeting to get trained! Start the year with the knowledge and confidence to make Cub Scouting a great experience for your Scouts.

HELP WANTED: Spanish Translator Needed Tomorrow Night!

Our District Executive, Ashley McGraw, is fluent in Scouting, high-fives, and enthusiasm… but her Spanish? Let’s just say relying on Google Translate for an entire sign-up night might lead to us accidentally inviting parents to join a taco club instead of a Cub Scout Pack!

We are launching a brand-new after-school Cub Scout Pack at Green Acres Elementary, and we have a fantastic Spanish-speaking community eager to join the adventure. Our usual bilingual Specialist is unavailable, so Ashley needs a hero to stand by her side and bridge the language gap.

Tomorrow at 6:00 PM
Green Acres Elementary School
2000 Gober Ave SE, Smyrna, GA 30080

If you can lend a hand for an hour and help us welcome new Scouting families, please email Ashley McGraw directly at [email protected] or drop a comment below!

Thank you for helping us grow the Silver Comet District!

As we kick off another year of Scouting, we have one small favor to ask:

Before you plan that campout, hike, service project, field trip, pinewood derby, fishing trip, rocket launch, or “hey, I have an idea…” activity…

CHECK THE SAFE CHECKLIST.

Plan boldly. Scout safely. And please, for the love of all things Scouting, check the checklist.
