*TAKE HOME MESSAGE*
I have tasted all that is sweet, but I found nothing sweeter than good health. I have tasted all that is bitter, but nothing was more bitter than being in need of good people. I carried both, iron and rocks, but nothing was heavier than a guilty conscience.
I discovered that life comprises of two days; A day for you and a day against you. So, when it is for you, do not oppress others, and when it is against you, be patient because both days will expire!
If you can't be a bridge to connect people, then don't be a wall to separate them. If you can't be a light to brighten people's good deeds then don't be the darkness covering their efforts. If you can't be a vaccine to preserve life, don't be a virus to terminate it.
We can be each other's keeper.

Be in the loop (awareness) about our Sickle Cell foundation programs!

Soccer has remained one of the top sports across the globe, it has been uniting people for decades.

In order to further extend our awareness programs nationwide from Georgia, USA, this Monday, August 21st, 2023, we shall be using a soccer game to commemorate & unite the inhabitants of Biyem-Assi, Yaounde, and beyond Cameroon, for a mini tournament. During this tournament, we are going to use it as an opportunity to create massive awareness & sensitize the public about Sickle Cell Disease.

In this light, we urge you to share with your family, friends, and neighbors for them to show up & participate in a free counseling, diagnosis, and medication program. We look forward to seeing you.

This year 2023, the World Sickle Disease Day theme is “Building and strengthening Global Sickle Cell Communities, Formalizing New-born Screening and Knowing your Sickle Cell Disease Status”, a call to recognise the first step (understanding the genotype in infants and adults) in fighting sickle cell disease.

We shall continue to raise awareness about sickle cell disease (SCD) and its impact on individuals, families and communities worldwide.

Each year, on June 19, countries all over the world celebrate World Sickle Cell Day, which was initially presented as a resolution by the United Nations in 2008.

The goal of this day mostly is to recognize sickle cell anemia as a public health problem and promote education about this genetic condition.

The month of September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month and it is represented by the burgundy awareness ribbon.

Sickle cell anemia is a hereditary blood disorder in which, abnormal red blood cells damage the cerebrovascular system, as well as organs such as the liver and spleen. Children with Sickle cell anemia manifest extreme depression, pain, strokes and social maladjustment.
This disease occurs primarily in Africa America populations. One in every 12 African Americans passes the Sickle Cell trait on to his or her children, with a 10% mortality rate for children within the first 5 years of their lives.
