An African Proverb states: If you want to go fast, go alone! If you want to go far, go together! It is with this sentiment, that we express immense gratitude for the participants and partners of the HealthWorks project. We collaborated with public health professionals, medical professionals, and most importantly, members of many communities across Georgia to improve health outcomes from COVID-19.

We are excited to announce our milestones achieved during the project timeline (June 2022 - October 2023):
1) We participated in 83 point-of-care health screenings and vaccination opportunity health fair events in Georgia through the assistance of MSM HEAL Clinic
2) We rapidly recruited, trained, and deployed 100+ health outreach workers to build the capacity of trusted messengers for health education across the state of Georgia.
3) The Health Outreach Workers conducted outreach including health education connecting members of their communities to resources for tests, treatments, vaccines, and other social supports needed to maintain or improve the quality of health to 70,000 Georgians.
4) Through the assistance of the Health Outreach Workers, we were able to increase vaccine confidence and access for members of the community to provide over 2,500 shots in arms in Georgia, and 7,500+ in Tennessee, for over 10,000 shots in arms!
